Never immerse the teapot, base, power cord or plug in water or other
liquid.
Do not use the teapot outdoors.
To store the teapot, pack it away in the box and store it in a dry place out
of the reach of children.
Save these instructions for future reference. If you sell the teapot or give
it away, transfer the instructions along with it.

OPERATION
Before rst use
Remove the teapot from its packaging and remove all the stickers and
labels from the housing and base.
Before rst use, ll the teapot with water to the highest level mark, boil
and pour out the water.
Then rinse the teapot thoroughly with clean water. Do this two or three
times to remove all the mechanical dust and particles that might have got
into the teapot in production and transportation.
Using your kettle
1. Remove the teapot from the base and ll it with clean cold water to the
MAX mark (1.5 l).
2. Close the lid and set the teapot on the stand.
3. Plug in the teapot and press the on/off button. The indicator light will
turn on and the water will be heated to the boiling point. When the water
starts boiling, the teapot will switch off automatically.
4. Unplug the teapot after use.
WARNING!
Never switch on an empty teapot!
Use caution when handling a teapot lled with hot water. Do not tilt the
teapot rapidly or far, especially if it is lled to the maximum level mark!
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before cleaning the teapot, unplug it and make sure it has cooled to room
temperature.
To clean the lter, remove it and rinse it under hot running water, using a
nylon brush. After cleaning, install the lter in place.
Wipe the housing of the teapot with a soft damp cloth, then wipe dry.
Do not use abrasive or chemically aggressive cleaners or aerosol cleaners
to clean the teapot.

REMOVING LIMESCALE
Minerals contained in tap water can form sediment (limescale) on the inner
surfaces of the teapot. To remove it, ll the teapot with water to the highest
level mark and add a few drops of white vinegar. Leave the solution in the
teapot for 12 hours or overnight. Then pour the water out, ll the teapot with
clean water, boil and pour the water out.
REPAIR AND TROUBLESHOOTING
For safetys sake, the appliance should be repaired only by qualied per-
sonnel at an authorized service center.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by unauthorized repairs or
improper use of the appliance.
Never use a defective appliance or one with mechanical or other damage
to the appliance, cord or plug.
Never take the appliance apart yourself or insert any foreign objects into
the openings of the appliance.
When the appliance becomes damaged beyond repair, do not throw it
away with household waste. Care for the environment! A faulty appliance
must be taken to a recycling center. Contact the municipal services of
your city for the address of the nearest recycling center.
When replacing a faulty electrical appliance with a new one, the seller is
responsible for recycling the faulty one.
