When cutting round material with the Stanley Saw, the material may roll during angle cuts. To prevent this, clamp the rounded material or hold it firmly against the fence.
What to do if I can't fit large material under the guard of my Stanley Fatmax SFMCS701 Saw?
If you're cutting a large piece of wood with your Stanley Saw and it doesn't fit under the lower guard, turn off the saw. Then, put your right hand on the operating handle and your right thumb on the upper part of the guard. Roll the guard up just enough to make space for the wood.
