Configuring NT500

1. Stop and restart the NT500 services:

Double click the icon in the Windows taskbar. If you are using Windows Vista

or later and the User Account Control dialog box appears, choose the Yes button.

The PAC Service Manager window is displayed.

Ensure that All Services is selected.

Choose the Stop button and wait for all services to stop.

iv.

Choose the Start button and wait for all services to start.

2. Log on to NT500.

3. Choose Tools › Configure Peripherals and the Configure Peripherals window is displayed.

4. Select the virtual COM port, e.g. COM3, from the Communication Port drop-down list

and select the Click to test checkbox.

5. Present a key to the desktop reader and the keycode is displayed.

6. Choose the Close button.
