Why is my Stanley V Series Industrial Equipment sinker drill performing poorly?
- KKimberly YoungJul 30, 2025
Poor performance of your Stanley Industrial Equipment sinker drill can stem from several causes. First, ensure the hydraulic fluid flow is correct, providing 7–11 gpm/26–40 lpm at 2000 psi/140 bar. Check for any restrictions in the sinker drill inlet hose or coupler and clean thoroughly if needed. Also, inspect the discharge hose for kinks or restrictions, straightening it as necessary, consider using a split rigid conduit to prevent kinking if the hose bends at the top of the hole, or a 90° 4-inch pipe elbow on the trash pump outlet. Finally, make sure that the temperature of the hydraulic oil is not too high (greater than 60°C); if it is, use a cooling device.
