SHREDDING:
1. Plug the shredder into
electrical outlet.
2. Slide the power switch into the auto
position. The power indicator will
illuminate blue when ready.
3. Insert up to 10 sheets of paper, 1 credit
card, 1 CD or 1 DVD straight into the
feed opening
4. Empty the paper bin frequently to avoid
jams.
For all safety purposes, turn off shredder when not
in use.
CLEARING A JAM:
± When a jam occurs the shredder will
automatically stop and reverse for a few
seconds. The power indicator with
flash until the jam is cleared
± To clear jam:
1. Wait until the shredder has
finished reversing
2. Grasp the excess paper
3. Pull paper out
± Clearing a jam while in reverse:
1. Move the power switch to the
forward ▶▶ position
2. Let shredder run for about 5 seconds
— If jam does not clear, move the
power switch to the reverse ◀◀
positon and run for five seconds.
Repeat this procedure until the
jam is cleared
— If the jam still does not clear,
unplug the machine and remove
paper manually
Do not place your hands near the feed opening
1. Slide the power switch into the off
position
2. Pull out the bin and dispose of the paper
shreds or compress the shreds down
3. Place the bin back in
4. Slide the power switch into auto for
normal operation
OVERHEATING:
± The overheat indicator will turn red and
the machine will shut off if the motor
becomes too hot after shredding for more
than 25 minutes
± Let the shredder cool until the overheat
indicator turns off (about 60 minutes)
± Turn the shredder off and on again;
continue shredding as normal
