Overview

This document describes an 8-person reversible party grill, designed for indoor, non-commercial use to cook or heat food items for human consumption. It features a reversible plate with one ribbed side and one flat side, allowing for versatile cooking options. The grill also includes eight raclette dishes and eight spatulas, making it suitable for group gatherings.

Function Description:

The party grill serves as a versatile cooking appliance, enabling users to grill various foods on its reversible plate and melt cheese in the individual raclette dishes. The ribbed side of the plate is ideal for cooking small strips of meat, chicken, and vegetables, providing grill marks and allowing fat to drain. The flat side offers a broader surface for general cooking. The raclette dishes are specifically designed for melting cheese, which can then be scraped off using the provided spatulas. A temperature control dial allows users to adjust the heat to their desired level, indicated by an LED light that illuminates when the product is heating and turns off once the selected temperature is reached. The appliance is equipped with cool-touch handles for safe handling during and after use.

Usage Features:

Before first use, it is crucial to thoroughly clean both sides of the plate, raclette dishes, and spatulas in hot, soapy water or a dishwasher, ensuring they are completely dry. The base should be wiped with a damp cloth and dried, but never immersed in water or any other liquid. The plate must be securely installed onto the base, aligning it with the side supports, and the silicone protective guards should be securely in place to prevent scratching. The raclette dishes are then placed onto the tray surface with their handles facing outwards.

To operate, the product should be placed on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Before cooking, lightly coat the entire cooking surface and raclette dishes with cooking oil or shortening, wiping off any excess with a paper towel. This process should be repeated as necessary to maintain a longer-lasting non-stick surface. The power cord is then plugged into a standard 120-volt AC electrical outlet. The thermostat is set to the desired temperature, and the LED indicator will signal when the product is heating. Once the LED turns off, the grill has reached the set temperature. It is important not to cook foods at excessively high temperatures, as this can cause discoloration or shorten the life of the non-stick surface. During initial heating, some light smoke or vapors may be released due to the materials used in manufacturing, which is normal.

Users can utilize the ribbed or flat side of the plate for grilling meats and vegetables, while the raclette dishes are used for melting cheese. The provided spatulas should always be used to remove food from the raclette dishes, and these dishes should never be left empty in the appliance while it is on. Throughout operation, users must avoid touching hot surfaces and always use the cool-touch handles, or protective oven mitts or gloves, to prevent burns. The appliance should not be left unattended while in use. Once cooking is complete, the temperature should be lowered completely, and the power cord unplugged from the electrical outlet. The appliance must be allowed to cool down completely before handling or cleaning.

For safety, the appliance is equipped with a grounded plug, which fits into a three-prong outlet. Users should not attempt to alter the plug or defeat this safety feature. If an extension cord is necessary, it should be a UL or ETL listed cord, as short as possible, with an electrical rating at least as great as that of the product, and a grounding-type 3-wire cord if the product is grounded. The cord should be arranged to prevent tripping or snagging.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of the grill. Before each use, it is recommended to ensure the handles are securely attached and retighten them if necessary. For better non-stick performance, adding a teaspoon of cooking oil prior to each use is advised. The plate should never be heated empty; always ensure there is oil, butter, liquid, or food on it before use.

For cleaning, the appliance must be unplugged from the electrical outlet and allowed to cool down completely before handling. The plate and raclette dishes can then be removed. It is crucial to ensure the appliance is completely cooled before removing the plate, using protective oven mitts if necessary. The silicone protective guards on the plate support should not be removed. Both sides of the plate, raclette dishes, and spatulas can be washed in hot, soapy water or placed in the dishwasher. However, cold water should not be poured on the hot product, as sudden temperature changes can damage it or create a burn hazard. Bleach or abrasive cleansers/scouring pads should not be used on the plate, as they can damage the non-stick finish. After washing, rinse with hot water and dry thoroughly. The base should be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and dried, but never immersed in water, nor should the heating element or power cord be submerged.

To preserve the non-stick surface, metal utensils such as forks, knives, mashers, beaters, or food choppers should never be used. Only plastic, rubber, wooden, or silicone cooking utensils are recommended. Nothing should be cut directly on the plate, and utensils with sharp edges should be avoided to prevent piercing the non-stick surface. Metal scouring pads should not be used for cleaning the non-stick surface. If the plate is hot, cold water should not be poured on it, as sudden temperature changes can cause the metal to warp, leading to an uneven bottom. Instead, the plate should be allowed to cool naturally or in lukewarm soapy water. The exterior of the appliance may become dull and discolored over time due to certain detergents, but this does not affect the performance of the plate and is not covered by warranty. When not in use, the product should be stored in a cool, dry place.
