teeth is correct before placing it on the bar (14). Place the
bar with the chain on the toothed nut, making sure that the
chain ts on the nut and verifying that it can move normally.
(Figure D)
6- Replace the cover in its original position, taking care to
ensure that the fastenings on the cover t the tool housing
(Figure E).
7- Screw the lever back on by turning it clockwise (Figure G).
Check that the chain tension (15) is correct by tightening or
loosening the tensioning wheel (12) (Figure F).
8- Return the lever knob (13) to its original position to set the
tension and position of the chain (15) (Figure H).
CHAIN TENSIONING (15)
The chain should be kept at a medium tension, if the
tension is low the chain may come o󰀨 while cutting causing
accidents. A chain that is too taut wears quickly and risks
breaking, causing accidents.
1- Slightly loosen the chain lever (13) by following points 1
and 2 in the section Changing the chain / bar (Figures A and
B).
2- Act on the tensioning wheel (12). Turning the screw
clockwise tightens the chain, while turning it anticlockwise
loosens it.
3- Check that the tension is adequate, this can be veried by
gently pulling the chain along one side of the bar. If the chain
separates 3-4mm from the bar, revealing the inner side of the
links, the tension is correct.
4- Re-tighten the chain lever (15) and x it as indicated in the
section Changing the chain / bar in points 7 and 8 (Figures
G and H).
CHAIN LUBRICATION (15)
The tool has an oil reservoir that automatically lubricates the
chain as you work. You can always check the oil level thanks
to the glass (17).
1- Lift the oil cap tab (16) and use it to turn the cap
anticlockwise, opening it.
2- Fill 160 ml of oil into the reservoir. If you are lling the tank
for the rst time or if it has been empty for a long time, ll the
tank to the top.
Use only biodegradable oils specically for chainsaw chains.
Apply the oil carefully so as not to overload the chain and bar.
3- Screw the oil cap (16) on rmly in a clockwise direction.
After lling the reservoir, do not make a cut immediately, but
let the tool run idle for a few seconds to lubricate the chain
completely before starting work.
HEDGE TRIMMER HEAD ADJUSTMENTS
Adjusting the head angle
The hedge trimmer head can be set at di󰀨erent angles from
-22.5° to +90°. To adjust the cutting angle, press and hold
the double adjustment knob (18) and set the hedge trimmer
head to one of the 6 available positions. When the head is in
the desired position release the double adjusting knob (18)
to x the position.
3_OPERATION
STARTING OPERATION
Insert the battery after ensuring that it has su󰀩cient charge
by following the steps described in point 2 of this manual.
Press the safety lock button (3) and then press the trigger (2)
to activate the tool. Depending on the pressure exerted, the
tool will adjust the cutting speed.
To stop the tool, release the trigger (2).
Checking the automatic brake
Before making any cut, activate the tool in idle mode and after
a few seconds release the trigger (2) to stop the machine.
The chain should stop 1 second after releasing the trigger,
otherwise consult the technical service and do not use the
tool.
USE
WARNINGS
- Never operate the tool with the saw guard attached.
- Never operate the tool with the chain in contact with or
resting on any material.
- Be careful when cutting branches, as the pressure
generated by the weight of the cut branch may cause you to
lose control of the tool.
- Be careful when cutting large shrubs and stems, as they
are exible and could become entangled in the chain and be
thrown out.
Cutting
After activating the tool as described in the ON/OFF section,
allow the tool to reach its maximum speed before starting to
cut any material.
Maintain an angle with the tool to the ground that never
exceeds 60°. Never use the tool perpendicular to the ground
as branches may fall on it.
Support the tool on the cutting area using the support point
under the chain and bar. Once the tool is supported, proceed
with the cut by applying light pressure in the direction of the
cut.
Never raise the lower body of the tool above shoulder height
to ensure maximum control.
When cutting long branches or stems, make several
successive cuts by splitting the branch to minimise the risk of
large branches falling.
Chain saw
Avoid making cuts with the tip of the bar, or plunge cuts, avoid
using the upper part of the saw to cut as much as possible
and always make downward cuts, resting the lower part of
the saw on the branch. When making a cut, the tool will pull
forward on the material being cut. To avoid possible jamming,
counteract this force by pulling the tool slightly backwards as
you make the cut.
4_MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before any work on the machine (e. g., maintenance,
tool change, etc.) as well as during transport and
storage, set the rotational direction switch to the centre
position.Unintentional actuation of the On/O󰀨 switch can
lead to injuries.
After nishing any work, clean the tool to prevent shavings
and sawdust from accumulating on the internal parts of the
tool and shortening its life.
CHAIN SAW HEAD
1- Remove the bar cover (11) following points 1 and 2 of the
section Changing the chain / bar (Figures A and B).
2- Use a soft brush to clean the bar cover, the bar grooves
