Overview

The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Xbox is a wireless gaming headset designed for use with Xbox consoles and PCs, offering a range of features for an immersive audio experience. The headset comes with a USB-C charging cable for power and updates.

Function Description:

The Stealth 700 Gen 2 Xbox serves as a primary audio output and input device for gaming and communication. It connects wirelessly to Xbox consoles and PCs (with an Xbox Wireless Adapter, sold separately, or built-in Xbox Wireless capabilities), providing game audio and enabling voice chat through its integrated microphone. The headset also features Bluetooth connectivity, allowing it to pair with mobile devices for calls, music, and access to the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app for customization.

Usage Features:

Headset Controls:

The headset is equipped with several controls for easy management of audio and functions:

  • USB Charge & Update Port: Used for charging the headset and updating its firmware.
  • LED Indication: Provides visual feedback on the headset's status, such as pairing, battery level, and charging.
  • Connect Button: Used for pairing the headset with an Xbox console or Xbox Wireless Adapter.
  • Bluetooth Multi-Function Button: Manages Bluetooth connections and can be remapped for other functions via the mobile app.
  • Power Button: Turns the headset on/off (press and hold for 2 seconds).
  • Mode Button: By default, activates/deactivates Superhuman Hearing®. This button is remappable through the mobile app.
  • Mappable Wheel: By default, controls chat volume. This wheel is also remappable via the mobile app.
  • Game Volume Dial: Adjusts the overall game volume.

Superhuman Hearing® Mode:

This feature is designed to help pinpoint quiet audio cues in games, such as enemy footsteps and weapon reloads. It can be quickly activated and deactivated by pressing the Mode button once during gameplay.

Microphone Mute:

The microphone can be muted by flipping it up. An audible tone (high low) indicates when the mic is muted, and another tone (low high) indicates when it is unmuted.

EQ Presets:

The headset offers several equalizer presets to tailor the audio experience:

  1. Signature Sound: A balanced audio profile.
  2. Bass Boost: Enhances low-frequency sounds.
  3. Bass + Treble Boost: Boosts both low and high frequencies.
  4. Vocal Boost: Emphasizes vocal frequencies. These presets are accessible and configurable through the Turtle Beach Audio Hub mobile app.

Bluetooth Pairing and Controls:

When powered on, the headset enters Bluetooth pairing mode for 2 minutes. To manually enter pairing mode, hold down the Bluetooth button until the "Bluetooth Pairing" prompt plays. Once in pairing mode, the headset can be selected from a phone or tablet's Bluetooth settings to establish a connection. The Bluetooth Multi-Function Button supports various actions for media playback and call management:

  • Play/Pause: Press once.
  • Skip Forward: Press twice quickly.
  • Fast Forward: Press twice quickly and hold.
  • Skip Back: Press three times quickly.
  • Rewind: Press three times quickly and hold.
  • Answer Call (Incoming Call): Press once.
  • End Call (In a Call): Press once.
  • Reject Incoming Call (Incoming Call): Press and hold.
  • Activate Voice Recognition (Not In a Call): Press and hold.

Mappable Buttons:

Both the Mode Button and the Mappable Wheel can be assigned new functions to suit individual gaming styles. This customization is done through the Turtle Beach Audio Hub mobile app:

  1. Download the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app on an iOS or Android device.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on the device and pair it with the headset.
  3. Navigate to the second settings screen in the app to assign new functions.
  4. The headset saves these configurations automatically.

Setup for Xbox:

  1. Power on the headset by pressing and holding the Power button.
  2. Press the Enroll button on the Xbox console.
  3. Press and hold the Connect button on the headset.
  4. Both the headset and console LEDs will flash rapidly, then turn solid, indicating successful pairing.

Surround Sound Setup (Xbox Only):

  1. Go to Settings >> General >> Volume & Audio Output on the Xbox.
  2. Set Headset Audio to Windows Sonic For Headphones.

Setup for PC Use (Xbox Wireless Adapter):

  1. Plug the Xbox Wireless Adapter (sold separately) into a free USB port on the computer.
  2. Power on the headset by pressing and holding the Power button.
  3. Press and hold the Enroll button on the Adapter until its LED flashes.
  4. Press and hold the Connect button on the headset until its LED flashes.
  5. Both LEDs will turn solid, indicating successful syncing. Volume is controlled through both Windows and the headset.

Setup for PC Use (Built-in Xbox Wireless):

  1. On the PC, go to Settings >> Devices >> Connected Devices.
  2. Choose Add Bluetooth Or Other Device, then select Everything Else.
  3. Press the Connect button on the headset. Windows will find and add the headset.
  4. Once the Stealth 700 Gen 2 appears under Other Devices, it is ready to use.

Configuring PC Settings:

  1. Right-click the Speaker icon on the Windows Taskbar and select Playback Devices.
  2. Set Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 as the Default Device.
  3. Select Recording Devices.
  4. Set Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 as the Default Device.

LED Indicators:

The headset's LED provides various status indications:

  • Solid Green: Headset and Console Paired.
  • Fast-Blinking White: Bluetooth® Pairing.
  • Solid White: Bluetooth® Paired (stays white for 2 seconds, then returns to green).
  • Breathing Green: Battery Full (while charging).
  • Double-Blink Green: Not Paired.
  • Solid Red: Battery Charging (while charging; LED turns off when fully charged if headset is off).
  • Breathing Red: Battery Low.

Charging:
