Safety Alert Symbols
Three safety alert symbols may be used to alert
you to personal safety instructions. They are:
Electrical (1 & 4)•
Mechanical (2)•
Fire (3)•
These safety alert symbols are used to alert
you to hazards. Obey all safety messages that follow these symbols to avoid possible injury or death.
Signal Words
Signal words that may appear next to the safety alert symbol are:
DANGER•
WARNING•
CAUTION•
IMPORTANT•
NOTE•
Carefully read and understand the instructions before you continue.
DANGER indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or
serious injury.
WARNING indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or
serious injury.
CAUTION, used with the safety alert symbol, indicates a hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in minor or moderate injury.
IMPORTANT indicates a special instruction or procedure which, if not followed, may cause
damage to the equipment.
 Theequipmentdescribedhereinisintendedforinstallationbyaqualiedtechnicianin
compliance with applicable local, state, and national codes and regulations.
 To insure proper installation and operation of this product, completely read all instructions
prior to attempting to assemble, install, operate, maintain or repair this product. Upon
unpacking of the system, inspect all parts for damage prior to installation and start-up.
 This manual should be retained by the owner upon completion of the installation and
made available to service personnel as required.
