If you notice unpleasant tastes or odors in the product water from your Sterling Water Filtration System, the post-filter or activated carbon pre-filter may be exhausted and require replacement. Foreign matter or bacteria within the R.O. system could also be the cause; in this case, clean, flush, and sanitize the system, replacing the filters. Ensure that the product water and drain water lines are correctly connected. Dissolved gasses in the feed water can also contribute to this issue, requiring pre-treatment of the feed water to remove them. Finally, an increase in product water TDS can affect taste and odor.
