Check area for foreign objects. Disengage controls before starting. Dress appropriately and wear suitable footwear.
Keep hands/feet away from moving parts. Avoid discharge chute opening. Be aware of traffic when crossing paths.
Ensure machine is safe. Use genuine parts. Store petrol safely. Allow engine to cool before storage.
Check oil level on level ground. Fill with oil if necessary before starting the engine.
Fill with unleaded petrol outdoors only. Do not smoke while fueling. Never refill a hot or running engine.
Follow procedures for manual or electric start. Use choke and primer for cold starts.
Change oil after 2 hours, then every 25 hours or seasonally. Drain warm oil carefully.
Empty fuel tank. Run engine dry. Change oil. Pour oil into spark plug hole. Clean and lubricate.
