N Place the machine on the auger tip
N Set the activating lever to B – the
auger brake is released – the auger
is ready for use
If the carburetor has been set correctly,
the auger should not rotate when the
engine is idling.
Switching off the engine
N Set slide control to STOP-0
At very low temperatures
N As soon as the engine is running,
blip the throttle trigger = disengage
starting throttle position – the slide
control jumps to run F – engine
begins to idle
N Press the throttle trigger slightly
N Let the engine warm up briefly
If the engine does not start
If the choke knob was not turned to e in
time after the engine turned over for the
first time, then the engine has flooded.
N Turn the choke knob to e.
N Move the slide control, throttle
trigger lockout and throttle trigger to
the starting throttle position
N Start the engine – to do this, pull the
starter rope briskly – 10 or 20 pulls
may be needed
If the engine still does not start
N Set slide control to STOP-0
N Remove the spark plug - see "Spark
plug"
N Dry the spark plug
N Crank the engine several times with
the starter to clear the combustion
chamber
N Replace the spark plug – see "Spark
plug"
N Set the slide control to START
N Turn the choke knob to e – even if
the engine is cold
N Restart the engine
Adjusting the throttle cable
N Check throttle cable adjustment –
see "Adjusting the throttle cable"
When the fuel tank has run completely
empty and then been refueled
N After refueling, press the fuel pump
bulb at least five times – even if it is
full of fuel.
N Set choke knob depending on
engine temperature
N Restart the engine
