N Set the rotary knob (4) of the choke
shutter
N Press fuel pump bulb (5) at least
5times.
Starting
N Place the machine on the ground
N left foot on the handle frame
N left hand on the handle frame
N Pull the starter grip slowly with your
right hand until you feel it engage
and give it a brisk strong pull
NOTICE
Do not pull out the starter rope
completely – risk of breakage!
N Do not let the starter grip snap back
– guide it slowly back into the
housing so that the starter rope can
rewind properly
N continue cranking
When the engine has turned over for the
first time
N Turn the choke knob to e.
N Continue cranking until engine runs.
Once the engine is running
N Immediately blip the throttle
trigger (2) – the slide control (3)
jumps to run F – the engine begins
to idle
NOTICE
The engine must be switched to idle
immediatelyotherwise, damage to the
clutch area may occur when the auger
brake is activated.
g If the engine is cold
e If the engine is warm – even if the
engine has already run but is still
cold
