The following STIHL attachments may
be mounted to the basic power tool:
Mounting the Hand Guard
If a cap is fitted on the end of the drive
tube:
N Pull the protective cap off the end of
the drive tube and keep it in a safe
place.
N Push the hand guard (1) over the
drive tube (2) as far as stop with its
convex side facing the control
handle (3).
N Fit washer (4) on the screw (5).
N Insert the screw (5) with washer (4)
and tighten it down firmly.
Mounting the Gearbox
N Loosen the clamp screws (10).
N Push the gearbox (11) onto the
drive tube (5), turn the gearbox (11)
back and forth as necessary.
