BACKING UP POLISH RECIPES
AND MACHINE DATA FILES
A backup utility batch file called “SBACKUP.BAT” (“Strasbaugh backup”) is
now available for easily saving files unique to a particular machine on a diskette.
This utility may be used as an alternative to DOS backup utilities (which differ
depending on which version of DOS is installed on the machine).
Procedure to Backup Files:
1. Turn the machine off and remove the Polish Section Left Side Service
Door.
2. Pull out the service door interlock to defeat it.
3. Turn the machine back on and wait until the software restarts.
4. Quit the software by typing “Alt-Q”. (Hold down the Alt and Q keys
together.) The prompt should now show C:\QB45>.
5. Insert a diskette into the drive in the computer located behind the Polish
Section Left Side Service Door.
6. Type SBACKUP <Enter>.
The following files will automatically be copied to the diskette:
CALVARS.DAT (machine calibration values from the Calibration
Menu)
LIFE.DAT (carrier and pad life wafer and time counters)
PASSWORD.DAT (stored passwords from the Password Menu)
ERRORS.DAT (errors logged and shown in the Error Log Menu)
SETUP.DAT (setup from Setup Menu)
RECIPE.DAT (current recipe data shown in recipe menus)
REC_NAME.DAT (name of currently used recipe)
INIT1.DAN (servo initialization for axes 1-8)
INIT2.DAN (servo initialization for axes 9-15)
*.REC (stored recipes)
ALRMMASK.DAT (SECS option only - alarm message
enable/disable)
