19.9 FLEXIBLE ROUND SECTION DOUBLE DUCT KIT FOR HORIZONTAL INDOOR UNIT –
DHINROxx
This option is the connecting duct between the opening on the cabinet wall and the opening on the
evaporating unit for fresh air intake during free-cooling. The rear side of internal unit must be installed
with a minimum distance of 200 mm from cabinet wall, due to the position of the refrigerant
connections. This option or the previous (DHINRECxx) are the two alternatives to cover this
minimum distance, necessary for Split-Air units with free-cooling, when the unit is ceiling-mounted
in an horizontal position. Otherwise, the client must provide it.
This is a kit of two round section ducts (6 in the drawing), with four clamps and two adapter plates
to pass from 2 round to one rectangular section (5 in the drawing). The tubes are made of PVC with
metal spiral frame, while the adapter plates are made of zinc plate steel sheet. These ducts are
extensible from a minimum of 200mm to a maximum of 2000mm.
Diameter of these ducts is:
• 200 mm for CST40/50;
• 250 mm for CST60/80.
Dimensions of the opening on the cabinet wall for fresh air intake are:
• Width = 650 mm; Height = 220 mm for Split-Air CST40/50;
• Width = 770 mm; Height = 270 mm for Split-Air CST60/80.
This opening shall be protected by a rain-proof grille, supplied as option (GRxxSOP) or provided
by the client.
Another opening is necessary for exhaust air discharge during free-cooling.
Minimum sections of this opening for exhaust air discharge are:
• 0.15 m
2
for Split-Air CST40/50;
• 0.24 m
2
for Split-Air CST60/80.
On this opening, an overpressure damper shall be installed to prevent cooled internal air to go out
from the opening when the unit works in cooling mode. In addition, another rain-proof grille shall be
installed. Both discharge grille and overpressure damper fixed to this grille are included in the
GRxxSOP option; otherwise they have to be provided by the client.
Dimensions of exhaust air discharge opening, to match the grille supplied with GRxxSOP option,
are:
• Width = 500 mm; Height = 300 mm for Split-Air CST40/50;
• Width = 800 mm; Height = 300 mm for Split-Air CST60/80.
