2. Open the cover (4-door models). At-
tach the child restraint fixing clip to the ap-
propriate upper anchorage.
3. Tighten the upper anchorage strap se-
curely.
Please contact your SUBARU dealer if
you have any questions regarding the in-
stallation of a child restraint system.
V For 5-door model center seating
positions
1. Raise the head restraint of the center
seat to the first locking position without
pressing the release button on the top of
the seatback. DO NOT remove the head
restraint at the center seating position.

DO NOT remove the center head re-
straint when mounting a child re-
straint system with an upper
anchorage strap. Otherwise, it will
be impossible to use the seatbelt
guide that is attached to the head re-
straint.
The seatbelt guide is essential for
routing the belt webbing at the cen-
ter seating position. For information
about using the seatbelt guide, refer
to the “Fastening the seatbelt” sec-
tion in this manual.
