What to do if my Sullair Vacuum Cleaner won't start?
    • J
      Joel BartlettAug 3, 2025
If your Sullair Vacuum Cleaner won't start, there are several potential causes. First, check if the main disconnect switch is open and close it. Also, inspect the line fuse and control transformer fuse, replacing them if blown. Additionally, the motor starter overloads might have tripped; reset them, and if the problem continues, verify the motor starter contacts are functioning correctly. Finally, check the incoming line voltage and consult your power company if it's low.

Why does my Sullair Vacuum Cleaner shut down with vacuum demand present?
    • M
Mr. Corey Mccarthy PhDNov 16, 2025
There are several reasons why your Sullair Vacuum Cleaner might shut down while vacuum demand is present. Check for loose wires that could cause a loss of control voltage and replace the control transformer fuse. Low incoming voltage can also be a factor, so consult your power company. Excessive vacuum unit discharge pressure could be due to a defect in the pressure switch; check the pressure at which the contact points open. The separator might require maintenance, so check the maintenance indicator under full load conditions. Also, the high-pressure shutdown switch might be adjusted too low; readjust it to 12 psig (83kPa). Other potential issues include a blockage or closed valve on the discharge line, a discharge line pipe size that is too small, or an open discharge temperature switch ...
