Usage Features:

  • Assembly: The manual provides detailed step-by-step assembly instructions, including diagrams and hardware lists. Tools required for assembly include a Phillips screwdriver (not included) and a wrench (included).
  • Gas Connection: Connects to a standard 20 lb. propane cylinder. The regulator and hose assembly provided with the unit must be used. A leak test must be performed after connecting the gas tank and whenever gas connections are loosened or removed.
  • Ignition: The unit features a pulse ignition system. To light, turn the control knob to "OFF," fully open the LP cylinder valve, push in the gas control knob, turn it counterclockwise to "LOW," and press the RED Ignitor button. The control knob should be held down for 30 seconds after lighting.
  • Flame Adjustment: The flame height can be adjusted by turning the control knob: counterclockwise for "HIGH" and clockwise for "LOW."
  • Turning Off: To extinguish, depress the control knob and turn it clockwise to "OFF." The gas at the source (propane cylinder valve) should also be turned off.
  • Natural Gas Conversion: The fire table can be converted to natural gas using a CSA Certified NG Conversion kit (50,000 BTUs and 3/8" NG Hose). This conversion must be performed by a qualified natural gas provider or service company.
  • High Altitude Conversion: For installations above 2,000 feet, a High Altitude Conversion Kit is required, and input ratings will be reduced by approximately 4% for every 1,000 feet above sea level. This kit includes the proper orifice, conversion diagram, and conversion label, and should be obtained from the distributor.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Never operate if gas odor is present; shut off gas, extinguish flames, and call gas supplier/fire department.
    • Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors/liquids near the appliance.
    • LP-cylinder not connected for use must not be stored near the appliance.
    • For outdoor use only.
    • Do not use solid fuel or charcoal.
    • Stay away from the burner when igniting.
    • Do not use more than 1/4 inch depth of Flame Glass above burner holes to avoid suffocating the flame.
    • Ensure Flame Glass is completely dry before use to prevent cracking/breaking.
    • Do not paint or color any part of the heating unit.
    • Unit may be hot during use; do not move or leave unattended.
    • Not intended for cooking.
    • Keep flammable items away (64 inches from sides and top).
    • Do not sit, rest hands/feet, or place hands/fingers on the upper portion of the unit during use.
    • Keep electrical cords and fuel supply hose away from heated surfaces.
    • If flame goes out, turn off gas, wait 5 minutes, then repeat lighting procedure.
    • Do not add water to the unit.
    • Do not operate if any part has been under water; call a qualified service technician.
    • Do not disconnect any part while in use.
    • Do not store a spare propane tank on or near the unit.
    • If indoors, detach propane tank and leave outdoors.
    • Use on a flat surface outdoors ONLY.
    • Remove protective cover before operating.
    • Do not set protective cover over the unit until it is completely cooled.
    • Check for leaks after long periods of inactivity.
    • Children must be supervised near the unit.
    • Keep gas tank at least 5 feet away from unit when lit (if external tank).
    • Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Can produce carbon monoxide, which has no odor. Using in an enclosed space can kill. Never use in enclosed spaces like campers, tents, cars, or homes.
    • Do not operate if Firebowl Pan and Flame Glass are wet.
    • Solid fuels shall not be burned.

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Inspection: Inspect all elements before each use. Annual inspection and regular cleaning by a qualified professional are recommended.
  • Cleaning Exterior Surfaces: Use warm soapy water. Do not use flammable or corrosive cleaning agents. Keep the burner area dry.
  • Clearance: Ensure the appliance area is clear of combustible materials, gasoline, and other flammable vapors/liquids. Do not obstruct combustion and ventilation air flow. Keep the cylinder enclosure free of debris.
  • Burner Cleaning: Clean burner holes using a heavy-duty pipe cleaner or compressed air to remove spiders, insects, or carbon deposits. Carbon deposits can create a fire hazard.
  • Corrosion: In salt-air environments, check for corroded areas frequently and repair promptly.
  • Hose Assembly: Inspect for abrasion, cuts, or wear. Replace if damaged.
  • Storage:
    • Between uses: Turn control knob OFF, disconnect LP source, store in a sheltered area from inclement weather, and cover with the lid and protective cover once cooled.
    • Extended inactivity/transport: Turn control knob OFF, disconnect LP source, move to a secure, well-ventilated outdoor location, store in a sheltered area from inclement weather, and cover with the lid and protective cover. Never leave LP cylinder exposed to direct sunlight or excessive heat.
  • Troubleshooting Guide: Provides solutions for common issues such as burner not lighting, low flame, carbon build-up, and thick black smoke.

The Sunbeam Steel Linear Fire Table comes with a JAY TRENDS SALES LIMITED ONE (1) YEAR WARRANTY, covering defects in material and workmanship from the date of purchase. The warranty is non-transferable and requires the product to be assembled, maintained, and operated according to instructions.
