After washing, the heat pad should be line dried by draping it across several lines of a clothesline. Pegs should not be used on the wired areas. It should not be dried with a hairdryer or heater. It is essential to ensure that the heat pad and control sockets are completely dry before using again.
Machine drying is possible on a LOW setting for a maximum of 15 minutes. After machine drying, smooth the heat pad by gently pulling out any creases from the fabric. It should then be line dried to ensure complete dryness of the heat pad and control sockets before use. Again, do not dry with a hairdryer or heater.
When storing the heat pad, roll or fold it loosely and place it in a blanket bag or the bag it was supplied in. To prevent damage, avoid pressing sharp creases into the heat pad and do not place heavy items on top of it during storage.
Regularly examine the heat pad for any signs of wear or damage. If any such signs are present, or if the heat pad has been misused, it should be returned to the nearest Sunbeam Service Agent for inspection before any further use. This includes instances where the appliance suffers a thermal or fuse link rupture (indicated by the heat pad stopping heating), in which case it should be returned to the manufacturer or agent for repair or replacement.
