How to program your remote control
Section #1 - RC306
If you have a handheld with 2 blue up/down buttons and 1 additional button then use these instructions
to reprogram the handhelds. If your lift is less than 1 year old and you have different looking handheld
and base unit, please see section 2. If this procedure does not work, please contact us for a replacement
which may be covered under warranty. The base unit up/down controls should always work even if the
handhelds do not.
Locate the following : 1/ Base unit found inside the white PowerPack box, 2/ Handheld units/FOBs
Here is how you reprogram the remotes should your handhelds lose the pairing or if we replaced your
base unit and did not have your handhelds. 1

make sure your main 12v Deep Cycle battery is strong.
Step # 1 – press and release the red button on the side of the base unit – as shown below
Step 2 – press the blue 'up' button on the handheld remote control 3-4 times. The 4

press should
activate lift. If you try this procedure a couple times and your handheld still will not pair with the base
unit, then we can provide a replacement that may be under warranty.
Repeat for each remote that you want to pair to that base unit. If you have a handheld that controls
more than one lift at the same time, then press and hold the red bottom on the side of the base unit for
15 sec. And it will clear all the handhelds. After clearing all handhelds for that lift, reprogram the
correct handheld to that lift using the above procedure in Step #1.

• Multiple Remotes: The pairing procedure must be repeated for each remote control intended for use with the same base unit.
• Clearing All Handhelds: If a handheld controls more than one lift simultaneously, or if you need to clear all paired remotes from a specific lift, press and hold the red button on the side of the base unit for 15 seconds. This action will clear all existing pairings for that lift, after which individual handhelds can be reprogrammed using the standard Step #1 procedure.
• Troubleshooting: If the handheld fails to pair after a couple of attempts, it may indicate a fault. In such cases, contacting the provider for a replacement, potentially covered under warranty, is recommended. The base unit's up/down controls should remain functional even if the handhelds are not paired.
• Newer Systems: For lifts less than 1 year old with different-looking handhelds and base units, users are directed to Section 2 of the manual, which likely pertains to the RC308 or a similar newer model.

  • The provided re-pairing procedure is effective 9 out of 10 times for restoring functionality. If pairing is lost again, simply repeat the process.
  • If the handheld fails to pair after multiple attempts (approximately 1 out of 10 cases), it indicates a persistent issue. In such instances, users should continue to operate the lift using the base unit's controls.
  • Sunstream will replace faulty RC308 units with a new RC400 model under warranty. Users are encouraged to notify the provider if the handheld cannot be paired, as this will prioritize the unit replacement.
• Temporary Solution: The re-pairing procedure serves as a temporary solution to allow continued use of the lift until an RC400 replacement can be provided.
