warrants that if you — our customer — purchase one of our products, and we
determine that it is defective in material and/or workmanship during your lifetime, we
will repair or replace it — no hassle!
Our warranty does not cover consumables or normal wear-and-tear — things like
batteries draining, headbands and headpads wearing out, ink cartridges running
out, and switches wearing out — or damage resulting from abuse, alterations,
unauthorized repairs, or use contrary to SureFire’s user manuals.
Should you need a replacement product, SureFire reserves the right to replace an
obsolete product with a current production, like model. In the event that any issue with
a SureFire product is not covered under this warranty SureFire can arrange to have
the product repaired for a reasonable fee.

The SureFire Minimus is a variable-output LED headlamp designed for hands-free illumination, featuring MaxVision beam technology. It is backed by SureFire's "No-Hassle Guarantee," which covers defects in material and/or workmanship for the product's lifetime, offering repair or replacement. This warranty excludes consumables (like batteries), normal wear-and-tear (such as headbands, headpads, and switches), and damage from abuse, alterations, unauthorized repairs, or misuse. Should a product become obsolete, SureFire reserves the right to replace it with a current production model. For issues not covered by warranty, SureFire can arrange repairs for a reasonable fee.

Function Description:

The Minimus headlamp provides adjustable LED illumination, allowing users to select from various light output settings. It is designed for hands-free use, with a headband for secure attachment to the head. The light angle can be adjusted, and it includes an SOS feature for emergency signaling.

Usage Features:

• Headband Adjustment: The headband can be tightened by moving the buckle towards the back of the head and loosened by moving it towards the lamp.
• Battery Installation/Replacement: To install or replace the battery, unscrew the battery end cap counter-clockwise while holding the leash. Insert one 123A lithium battery into the compartment, positive (+) terminal first. Dispose of depleted batteries properly. Then, turn the battery end cap clockwise until hand-tight, while holding the leash. Users are advised to read the enclosed BATTERY INFORMATION/WARNING insert for safety guidelines and visit www.surefire.com/batteries for additional information.
• Light Operation (Turning On): Press the On/Off button to activate the headlamp. The output adjustment dial can then be rotated in either direction to select one of 13 light output settings. Rotating the knob clockwise rapidly achieves maximum output, while rotating it counter-clockwise rapidly achieves low-level output.
• Turning Off: Press the On/Off button to turn off the light.
• SOS Feature: To activate the SOS mode, depress and hold the push On/Off button for 4 seconds when the Minimus is off or activated. To turn off SOS mode, depress the On/Off button again.
• Light Angle Adjustment: The battery housing allows for adjusting the angle of the light up or down by 90 degrees.

Maintenance Features:

• Head Pad Cleaning:
  1. Remove the Breathe-O-Prene pad from the back of the headlamp.
  2. Wash the pad with mild hypoallergenic soap and warm water.
  3. Allow the Breathe-O-Prene pad to air dry completely.
  4. Re-attach the Breathe-O-Prene pad.
• Headband Cleaning:
  1. Remove the headband from the rear of the headlamp assembly.
  2. Machine wash with mild hypoallergenic soap and warm water.
  3. Allow the headband to air dry completely.
  4. Re-attach the headband following the earlier instructions.
• LED Housing and Mount Cleaning:
  1. To prevent scratching the window, use a soft brush or cotton swab to remove dirt and debris from the protective window, corners of the LED housing, and around the adjustment knobs.
  2. Wipe the LED housing with a clean, damp cloth.
  3. Avoid using harsh solvents to clean the LED housing or optic, as they may damage these components.

Warranty Claims:

For warranty claims, customers should contact Customer Service at 714-545-9444 to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#). The unit should then be packaged carefully and sent to SureFire, LLC., Repairs Department, RMA#, 17680 Newhope Street, Suite B, Fountain Valley, CA 92708. SureFire will cover reasonable shipping costs for returning the unit to the customer.
