What to do if the front panel button on my SurgeX SEQ-1U Recording Equipment will not work?
    • A
      Antonio MeyerAug 3, 2025
There are several reasons why the front panel button might not work: * It may have been programmed to Delay, in which case you must hold the button for one second before it will operate. * It may have been programmed to Disable, meaning it will not operate at all. * If the Up & Down Inputs have been set to Latching or 5-30V DC, a latching type input will always override a momentary switch like the front panel button.

What to do if my SurgeX SEQ-1U starts to sequence up but then immediately sequences down?
    • H
      Heather DudleyAug 9, 2025
This issue can occur due to: * A Down input that is always on. Check the down input with a meter. * The Over-Ride Func menu item being set to Master when the unit is not connected to another SEQ and is in cascade mode. To resolve this, change this menu item to Disable.

Why will my SurgeX Recording Equipment unit not power up from the remote control connection?
    • J
      James WigginsAug 14, 2025
If the 'down' input (terminal 2) is being held active all the time, the unit will not power up from the remote control. Remove the terminal block from the rear and check that the Up and Down signals are correct with a meter.

How to fix a SurgeX SEQ-1U unit that sequences up but will not sequence down?
    • J
      Jacob WhitakerAug 21, 2025
If the Up & Down Inputs is set to Separate Up & Down and you are using a single momentary switch, the unit will sequence up but not sequence down.

What to do if the display on my SurgeX SEQ-1U Recording Equipment is not illuminated?

      Stephanie RandolphAug 27, 2025
First, check that power is actually being supplied to the unit and that the breaker on the rear panel adjacent to the power cord has not tripped. If you are certain that power is being supplied to the unit, no further solution is specified.
