instructions
are

connecting
a
mechanical
push-pull
steering
system
with the following
specifications:

cable
entry
into the
motor tilt
tube.

Safety standard
(P-17).
Contained
parts
CAUTION
Never reuse
the safety
nut
(D
after
it
have been threaded
into
position
and torqued.
Procedure
(1)
Thread
the
steering
cable seal
@
onto the
port
side end of
the motor tilt
trrrbe
O.
\*-(2)
Apply
SUZUKI WATEB
RESISTANT
GREASE
to the
steer-
ing
cable
@.
(3)
Insert the
cable
@
into
the
tube
O
from the starboard side,
then
tighten the cable
retaining
nut
@
to the
torque specified
by
the cable
manufacturer.
NOTE:
On
most outboard
motor
installations,
it will
be necessary
to in-
siaii
the sieering cabie
prior
io ihe ouiboarci
rrptot'irisiailation.
