AIR CLEANER ELEMENT REMOVAL
1. Place the motorcycle on the side stand.
Remove the fuel tank by referring to the
FUEL HOSE section.

Failure to inspect the air cleaner element
frequently if the vehicle is used in dusty,
wet, or muddy conditions can damage
your motorcycle. The air cleaner element
can become clogged under these condi-
tions, and engine damage may result.
Always inspect the air cleaner element
after riding in severe conditions.
Replace the element as necessary. If
water gets in the air cleaner case, imme-
diately clean the element and the inside
of the case.
