Gear of a passenger
A passenger needs the same protection
that you do, including a helmet and
proper clothing. The passenger should
not wear long shoe laces or loose pants
that could get caught in the wheel or the
chain.
WARNING
If the person in the rear seat wears a
long jacket or coat, they may
obscure the tail light or turn signal
light. This is dangerous as following
vehicles may not be aware of you.
People riding in the rear seat should
avoid wearing long jackets or coats if
possible. If wearing such garments,
place the tails of the garment under
the buttocks so that they do not
obscure the tail light or turn signal
light.
