Other potential causes include a bad spark plug (replace it), a dirty air filter (clean or replace it), a dirty fuel filter (replace it), or water in the fuel (drain the tank and carburetor, refill with fresh gas, and replace the fuel filter). Also, check all wiring for any loose connections or damage. For carburetor or valve adjustments, or extreme cold conditions, consult the Engine Manual or contact an authorized service center. Finally, make sure the fuel shut-off valves are open.

Also, check for a weak or dead battery (recharge or replace), a blown fuse (replace it), or corroded battery terminals (clean them - see the battery section of this manual). Inspect all wiring for loose connections or damage. Finally, check or replace the ignition switch and solenoid. For faulty operator presence switches, contact an authorized service center.
