Do you have a question about the Swissvoice S28 and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The Swissvoice S28 is a 2G clamshell mobile phone designed as a "CARE PHONE" with a focus on ease of use and safety features. It boasts a 2.8-inch main display and an external E-Ink display for quick glances at essential information.

Function Description:

The S28 offers basic mobile phone functionalities including making and receiving calls, sending and receiving SMS/MMS messages, and managing a phonebook. Beyond these core features, it integrates several "CARE PHONE" specific functions:

  • SOS Assistance Button: A dedicated SOS button allows users to dial out to pre-set assistance numbers by long-pressing for 3 seconds. When an assistance call is accepted (by pressing '0' on the recipient's end), the S28 automatically enters handsfree mode. If the call is not accepted, the phone will continue dialing until a connection is made. The user can terminate the call by long-pressing the end call button. This feature requires SOS numbers to be set and an active network service.
  • Photo Phonebook: This feature allows users to associate photos with up to 10 contacts, making it easier to identify callers. Users can dial out to these contacts by selecting their photo.
  • Talking Dialing Digits: When numeric buttons are pressed, the S28 announces the corresponding number, aiding users with visual impairments. This feature can be enabled or disabled in the settings.
  • Talking Caller ID Name: Users can record a name or message for PHOTO phonebook contacts. When an incoming call matches a number in the photo phonebook, the recorded name/message will be announced instead of the standard ring melody.
  • Intelligent Ringer: To prevent missed calls, the ringer loudness automatically sets to maximum if the same phone number calls a second time within 3 minutes of an initial missed call. Once the call is answered, the ringer loudness reverts to the user-selected volume. This feature can be toggled ON/OFF.
  • Smart Notification: The phone can send SMS alerts to a designated "Helper" mobile phone number for "MISSED CALL" or "BATTERY LOW" events.
  • Smart Care: This function sends SMS alerts to a "Helper" mobile phone number for "LACK of PHONE CALL ACTIVITIES" or "LACK of PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES" (detected by key presses, phone open/close, or charging detection).
  • Torch: A dedicated button allows users to turn the LED flashlight ON/OFF.
  • Camera: A 2-megapixel camera allows users to take photos.
  • Multimedia: Includes a gallery for viewing photos, an audio player, a recorder, and an FM radio.
