Ensure that your domestic mains supply voltage
matches the voltage indicated on the identication
sticker located at the back of your set. Where the
mains plug, AC inlet or an appliance coupler is used
as disconnect device, it shall remain readily operable.
On certain models, the light indicator is located at the
side of the TV set. The absence of a light indication
at the front does not mean that the TV set is fully
disconnected from the mains. To disconnect the TV
set completely, the mains plug must be pulled out.
The TV set’s components are sensitive to heat. The
maximum ambient temperature
should not exceed
35º
Celsius. Do not cover the vents at the back or
sides of the TV set. Leave su󰀩cient space around it to
allow adequate ventilation. Install the appliance away
from any source of heat (replace, etc.) or appliances
creating strong magnetic or electric elds.
Moisture
in rooms where the set is installed should
not exceed
75%
humidity. Moving the set from a cold
place to a warm one can cause condensation on the
screen (and on some components inside the TV set).
Let the condensation evaporate before switching the
TV set on again.
The or
POWER/
button on the TV set or the
button on the remote control can be used to switch it
on and put it into standby mode. If you are
not going
to be watching the TV for a lengthy period of time
,
switch it o󰀨 completely by removing the plug from the
mains power socket.
During
thunderstorms
, we recommend that you
disconnect the TV set from the mains and aerial so
that it is not a󰀨ected by electrical or electromagnetic
surges that could damage it. For this reason, keep the
mains and aerial sockets
accessible so they can be
disconnected
, if necessary.
Unplug
the TV set immediately if you notice it giving
o󰀨 a
smell of burning
or
smoke
. You must never,
under any circumstances, open the TV set yourself,
as you run the risk of an
electric shock
in doing so.

Overview

This document describes a television set, outlining its functions, usage features, and maintenance guidelines.

Function Description

The television set is designed for domestic household use, providing entertainment through various channels and connected devices. It supports both wired and wireless internet connections, enabling access to Smart TV features, internet applications (Apps), and specially adapted internet websites. The TV can display digital TV channels, which can be decoded using a common interface module and a card from a digital TV service operator. It also supports subtitles broadcast via Teletext or DVB-T/DVB-C/DVB-S/DVB-T2/DVB-S2 digital broadcasts, with the option to select preferred subtitle languages.

The TV incorporates HbbTV (Hybrid broadcast broadband TV) services, offering interactive television over broadband internet with features like digital teletext, electronic program guides, games, voting, and interactive advertising. It also includes a Blue Light Filter to reduce visual fatigue by decreasing the amount of blue light emitted from the screen.

For an enhanced gaming experience, the TV features Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), which dynamically changes the refresh rate up to 144Hz to ensure smooth gaming and eliminate screen tearing. This feature is available on specific HDMI ports and requires compatible gaming consoles or PCs.

The television supports Apple AirPlay and HomeKit (on selected models), allowing users to wirelessly share content from iOS or iPadOS devices and control the TV using the Home app. Another unique feature is Multi Visual, which enables the simultaneous display of different programs, allowing multiple users to enjoy various content on the same TV.

The TV can be controlled using a supplied remote control, which offers numeric buttons for channel selection, input source selection, quick settings access, and navigation. It also includes dedicated buttons for popular streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube, as well as access to TCL Channel, TCL Home, and TCL BrowseHere. For hands-free control, selected models feature a built-in MIC switch that activates Google Assistant voice control.

Usage Features

Power and Standby: The TV can be switched on directly when the power cord is connected or will enter standby mode. It can be turned on from standby using the POWER/ button on the set or the remote control. To put the TV into standby, press the button on the remote control, which reduces energy consumption. For complete power-off, the mains plug must be removed.

Initial Setup: Upon first use, a Welcome screen guides users through an initial setup process, including language selection, network connection, and channel scanning. This setup can be performed later from the settings menu if skipped.

Channel Access: Channels can be accessed by scrolling with the Navigation Direction buttons, using the OK button to display the channel list, or directly with the CH∧ / / buttons. The LIST button also displays the channel list.

Connected Devices: The TV allows users to watch content from connected devices. Pressing the button on the remote control displays the source list, from which users can select TV or other input sources.

Volume Control: Volume is adjusted using the VOL+/- buttons on the remote control. The button mutes the sound temporarily and can be pressed again or combined with VOL+ to restore sound.

Smart TV Homepage: The Smart TV homepage provides access to internet applications and websites. Users can navigate through Apps, functions, or settings using the remote control. Network settings should be configured before using Smart TV applications.

Settings Menu: TV settings, such as picture and sound, can be adjusted via the Settings menu. This is accessed by pressing the button on the remote control, selecting Settings, and pressing OK. Navigation within submenus is done using ∧/∨ to select options and OK/> to enter.

Channel Installation: The TV can automatically search for and store channels. This is useful for initial setup, when no channels are found, or for updating existing channels. The process involves selecting Tuner mode (Cable, Antenna, or Satellite) and initiating an automatic search.

Common Interface: For encrypted digital TV channels, a common interface module and card from a digital TV service operator can be inserted into the TV to decode services. The module should be inserted gently while the TV is off.

Subtitles: Subtitles can be enabled or disabled for each TV channel. For digital broadcasts, users can select primary and secondary subtitle languages. The TV also supports "Hearing impaired" subtitles.

Teletext: The TV supports Teletext, allowing users to select a decoding page language and, for digital TV channels, a digital Teletext language, which determines the primary language for initial Teletext pages.

External Devices Control (CEC): This function enables one-touch play and standby between CEC-compatible devices connected via HDMI. Users can enable or disable HDMI Control, Auto power on, and Auto standby.

HbbTV Access: To use HbbTV, the TV must be connected to the internet and HbbTV must be switched on in the settings. When tuning to a digital TV channel offering HbbTV, an on-screen indication (usually a red button) prompts users to open interactive pages.

Bluetooth Function: (If available) The TV supports Bluetooth® technology for audio streaming. Users can pair Bluetooth devices through the settings menu.

Quick Start Function: This function allows the TV to turn on faster from standby mode, though it increases standby power consumption.

Hands-Free TV Voice Control: (On selected models) This feature allows users to control the TV using voice commands. It requires the built-in MIC switch to be turned on and the TV to be connected to the network with access to Google.

Reset to Factory Defaults: The TV can be reset to its factory settings through the System menu, requiring a password or PIN for confirmation.

Multi Visual: This feature allows the TV to display different programs simultaneously. It requires the phone to be Android OS and WiFi to be on. Users activate cast screen on their phone and connect to the TV.

Blue Light Filter: This feature reduces blue light emission from the screen to lessen visual fatigue. It can be toggled on or off in the Picture > Advanced Settings > Colour menu.

Maintenance Features

Temperature and Humidity: The TV's components are sensitive to heat. The maximum ambient temperature should not exceed 35° Celsius, and humidity should not exceed 75%. Adequate ventilation is crucial; do not cover the vents, and ensure sufficient space around the TV.

Heat Sources: Install the appliance away from heat sources like fireplaces or appliances creating strong magnetic or electric fields.

Condensation: If moving the TV from a cold to a warm place, allow condensation to evaporate before switching it on to prevent damage to the screen and internal components.

Power Disconnection: For extended periods of non-use, switch off the TV completely by removing the plug from the mains power socket. During thunderstorms, disconnect the TV from the mains and aerial to protect it from electrical or electromagnetic surges. Ensure mains and aerial sockets are accessible for easy disconnection.

Warning Signs: If the TV emits a burning smell or smoke, unplug it immediately. Never open the TV yourself due to the risk of electric shock.

Cleaning: Use a glass-cleaning product and a soft cloth for the screen, and a mild detergent for the rest of the set. Avoid strong, alcohol-based, or abrasive detergents as they can damage the screen. Regularly dust the vents at the back and sides.

Foreign Objects/Liquids: If an object or liquid enters the appliance, unplug it immediately and have it checked by an authorized engineer. Do not open the appliance yourself.

Battery Care: Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat. Remove batteries from the remote control if it will not be used for a long time to prevent damage from deterioration and corrosive leakage. Dispose of used batteries according to local recycling instructions.

Remote Control Issues: If the remote control is not working, check its batteries. Ensure the remote sensor window on the TV front is not obstructed by strong fluorescent lighting and keep it clean with a soft cloth.
