How to fix a TDI TDI-Dynaload WCL488 AC power button that doesn't function?
    • L
      Laura BakerAug 19, 2025
If the AC power button on your TDI Industrial Equipment isn't working, first check the fuse on the rear panel and replace it if necessary. Also, ensure the AC power cord is securely connected. Finally, verify that the AC voltage selector on the rear panel is correctly set for your voltage.

What to do if TDI Industrial Equipment unit loads off by itself with no fault lights?
    • N
      ntaylorAug 21, 2025
If your TDI Industrial Equipment loads off by itself with no fault lights, it may be due to voltage spikes at the input. Measure for voltage spikes at the load's input and correct as necessary.

Why does my TDI TDI-Dynaload WCL488 Industrial Equipment unit load off by itself with OV and SYS LEDs red?
    • H
      Heidi SuarezAug 23, 2025
If your TDI Industrial Equipment unit “Loads Off” by itself and the “OV” and “SYS” LEDs light red, it indicates that the voltage applied to the load's input has exceeded the voltage limit set in menu item number 2. Measure the DC input voltage and reduce it as needed.

What to do if SYS and UV LEDs light red on TDI TDI-Dynaload WCL488 Industrial Equipment?
    • K
      Kimberly HartmanAug 26, 2025
If your TDI Industrial Equipment load powers up but the “SYS” and “UV” LEDs light red and the “DC Load” LED won't come on, check the undervoltage switch on the rear panel. If it's on and the voltage applied to the load's input is less than 0.6 volts DC, switch the “UV” switch to the off position. Also, ensure the voltage applied to the input of the load is not reversed and greater than 0.6 volts DC; correct the polarity if needed.

Why TDI TDI-Dynaload WCL488 Industrial Equipment load powers on but won't draw current?
    • L
      Louis BradleyAug 28, 2025
If your TDI Industrial Equipment load powers up and “Loads On” but does not draw current, and you have recently set the current (CI 5 for example), it is possible that the “EXT PROG” button or a range button has been pressed. Repeat your required current entry. Also, if you're in constant resistance mode, the voltage sense leads may be improperly wired.

What causes the SYS fault LED to light on TDI TDI-Dynaload WCL488?
    • A
      Amanda MitchellAug 30, 2025
If your TDI Industrial Equipment load powers up but the red SYS fault LED lights and the DC LOAD LED will not come on, the AC line voltage may be too low. Measure the AC input and correct or change the AC switch position.

    Tiffany MelendezSep 1, 2025
Why are SYS and SAT LEDs yellow on TDI Industrial Equipment when drawing current?
    • E
      Ernest CalderonSep 1, 2025
If your TDI Industrial Equipment is set to draw a current, the current is correct, but the “SYS” and “SAT” LEDs light yellow, it means the DC voltage applied to the load is too low. Raise the input voltage. If the voltage is above the compliance voltage specification, the unit may need servicing.

Why won't my TDI TDI-Dynaload WCL488 Industrial Equipment draw current with SYS and SAT LEDs yellow?
    • J
      Joshua LarsonSep 4, 2025
If your TDI Industrial Equipment powers up, “Loads On,” but the “SYS” and “SAT” LEDs are yellow and it will not draw current, there is likely little or no DC voltage applied to the load's input. Measure the input voltage; it must exceed the compliance voltage specification for your model.

    Daniel Cohen Jr.Sep 6, 2025
Why is my TDI TDI-Dynaload WCL488 drawing current when not programmed?
    • P
      Patricia BrennanSep 6, 2025
If your TDI Industrial Equipment load draws current when it is not programmed for current, it is possible that a programming (0 to 10 VDC) signal is applied to “REM” (positive) and S– (return) on the load's rear terminal strip, and the “EXT PROG” button has been pressed. Press the “EXT PROG” button to clear the unit to the constant current mode.

How to fix TDI TDI-Dynaload WCL488 Industrial Equipment that will not load on?
    • C
      Cheryl MartinSep 8, 2025
If the TDI Industrial Equipment load will not “Load On” with a green LED indicator, the EN to S– jumper may be missing. Install the missing jumper. Also, verify the EPO switch function.
