Thisunitshouldoperatewiththebottomfeetrestingonaflatsurface.Theinternalheatexchangeriscooled
byatubeaxialfan.Itisnecessarytokeeptheinlet/outletairpathfreefromanyrestrictionsthatmayimpedeyourcooling
performance.A6"minimumspacingfromtherearoftheunittoanyobstructionisrequired.Externaltubingwithinsulation
hasbeenprovidedforatotalof12'plumbingline.Trimthetubingandinsulationasnecessarytominimizetheambient
thermalload.4clampshavebeenprovidedtoattachthetubing(2tothequickconnectorsprovidedand2foryourload
connectors).Thetubinglinesarea3/8"innerdiameter.Connecttheexternalplumbinglinestothedevice(s)beingcooled.
Lowfluidandlowflowindicatorshavebeenprovidedonthefrontpanel.Itisnecessarytofilltheinternal
reservoirbeforeyouapplypower.Theinternalreservoirholds
approximately500mloffluid.The“addfluid”lightwillcomeonwhenthereservoirisapproximately½full.Thereisavisual
indicatorofthewaterlevelonthesideoftheunit.Distilledwateristherecommendedfluidfortemperaturesto5C.For
temperaturesbelow5C,a30%glycol70%distilledwatermixissuggested.Removethereservoircaplocatedatthetop
leftcorneroftheunitandfillthereservoir.Keepthereservoircapoffuntiltheexternalplumbingisfilledandthe reservoiris
toppedoff.
Connectthepowercordtoanappropriateoutlet.Thepowercordmustbeconnectedtoareceptacle
protectedbyacircuitprotectedperlocalandornationalcodes.Whileyouarefillingtheexternallines,positionthesupply
quickconnectupwards.(SeeFigureA)Thiswillassistinremovingairtrappedinthelines.Atthispoint,depressthe power
switchonthefrontpaneltoturnthesystemon.Fora12'plumbingline,itshouldtakeabout30secondsbeforethe“add
fluid”lightilluminates.Atthispoint,turnthepoweroffandaddadditionalfluid.Re-applypower.Another30secondsorso
shouldbeenoughtimetocompletelyfillthelines.Turnoffthepowerswitchandtopoffthereservoir.Reattachthereservoir
capsecurely.
PleaseNote:Itmaybenecessarytoaddfluidtothereservoirfromtimetotime.The“addfluid”indicatorwillilluminateifthe
reservoirrequiresarefill.Ifthe“lowflow”indicatorlightappears,checktosee ifthereareanyobstructionsorleakswithinthe
plumbinglines.
The“lowflow”indicatorappearswhentheflowisapproximately0.3liter/minorless.
Adigitaltemperaturecontrollerhasbeenprovided.Holdthe*buttonandadjusttoadjustthesetpoint.
Moredetailedtemperaturecontrolinformationhasbeenincludedwithyourproductinformationpacket.Wesuggest
changingthetemperaturecontrollersprogrammingtoaPIDcontrolmethodandthenperforminganautotuneforbetter
temperaturecontrol.
