INSTALLATION OF SY-FD3 (OPTION)
¢ Make sure that the power to the Technics piano
is turned off.
¢Remove the cover from the connector unit.
¢Completely insert the right and left guide rails
into the grooves of the connector unit.
¢ Affix the guide rails to the underside of the piano
with the four bolts ®.
Insert the Digital Disk Recorder (SY-FD3)
along the guide rails, and push it in firmly and
completely.
* Secure the Digital Disk Recorder to the left guide
rail with screw ©.

¢ Safety Precaution
. Before servicing, unplug the power cord to prevent an electric shock.
. When replacing parts, use only manufacturer’s recommended components for safety.
. Check the condition of the power cord. Replace if wear or damage is evident. :
. After servicing, be sure to restore the lead dress, insulation barriers, insulation papers, shields, etc.
. Before returning the serviced equipment to the customer,. be sure to make’ the following insulation. resistance
test to prevent the customer from being exposed to a shock hazard.

* Insulation Resistance Test ;
1. Unpulg the power cord and short the two prongs of the plug witha
jumper wire.
2. Turn on the power switch.
3. Measure the resistance value with ohmmeter between the
jumpered AC plug and each exposed metal cabinet part, such as
screw heads, connectors, contro! shafts, handle brackets, etc.. cae
Mesurements should range from 4MQ to infinity to all exposed nai
parts.
