WARNING! Read this informaon before using the radio.
FCC Statement
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of FCC Rules.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protecon against harmful interference in a residenal installaon. This equipment
generates and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used in accordance with the instrucons, it may cause harm-
ful interference to radio communicaons. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a parcular installaon.
Vericaon of harmful interference by this equipment to radio or television recepon can be determined by turning it o and then
on. The user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separaon between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit dierent from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
Changes or modicaons not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate
the equipment. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operaon is subject to the following two condions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and
(2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operaon.
WARNING: MODIFICATION OF THIS DEVICE TO RECEIVE CELLULAR RADIOTELEPHONE SERVICE SIGNALS IS PROHIBIITED UNDER FCC
RULES AND FEDERRAL LAW.
Compliance with RF Exposure Standards
The radio complies with the following RF energy exposure standards and guidelines:
• United States Federal Communicaons Commission, Code of Federal Regulaons; 47 CFR § 1.1307, 1.1310 and 2.1093
• American Naonal Standards Instute (ANSI) / Instute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) C95.1:2005; Canada RSS102
Issue 5 March 2015

GMRS Communicaon
This GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) feature is a land-mobile service available for short-distance, two-way communicaons
in the USA. You must have a valid FCC license to communicate on these channels. The GMRS/FRS frequencies that radio this radio
uses are set aside for communicang with others while hiking, biking, and working; keeping track of family and friends at a crowded
public event; checking with travel companions in another car; talking with neighbors; arranging meeng spots with others while
shopping at the mall. Licensed users will be issued a call sign by the FCC, which should be used for staon idencaon when
operang this radio. GMRS users should also cooperate by engaging in permissible transmissions only, avoiding channel interference
with other GMRS users, and being prudent with the length of their transmission me.
GMRS FCC Licensing
This two-way radio operates on GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) frequencies which require an FCC (Federal Communicaons
Commission) license. A user must be licensed prior to transming on the GMRS band with this radio. Serious penales could result
for unlicensed use of GMRS channels, in violaon of FCC rules. Operaon of this radio is subject to addional rules specied in 47
C.F.R. Part 95. For licensing informaon and applicaon forms, please call the FCC Hotline at 800418-FORM. Request form #159 and
form #605. Quesons regarding the license applicaon should be directed to the FCC at 888-CALL-FCC. Addional informaon is
available on the FCC’s website at www.fcc.gov.
NOTE Even if you operate this radio on FRS (Family Radio Service) channels at low power (1 wa), you are required to have an FCC
license. Because this radio operates in the 1 to 5 wa GMRS power range all GMRS rules apply and will require you have a GMRS
license even for FRS (Family Radio Service) communicaon. Normal FRS only radios operate at a maximum power of 1/2 wa (500
mill wa) power and have an integral (non-detachable) antenna.
EU Regulatory Conformance
As cered by the qualied laboratory, the product is in compliance with the essenal requirements and other relevant provisions
of 2014/53/EU.
Please note that the above informaon is applicable to EU countries only.

Disposal of your Electronic and Electric Equipment
Products with the symbol (crossed-out wheeled bin) cannot be disposed as household waste. Electronic and Electric Equipment
should be recycled at a facility capable of handling these items and their waste by products. In EU countries, please contact your
local equipment supplier representave or service center for informaon about the waste collecon system in your country.
