Overview

This document describes the Tecnolec TLL 510, TLL 612, and TLL 712 washing machines.

Function Description

These appliances are designed for domestic household use only, specifically for washing clothes. They offer various washing programs and temperature settings to accommodate different fabric types and levels of soiling. The washing machines feature a detergent drawer with compartments for pre-wash detergent, main wash detergent, and additives (e.g., softener). They also include a delay timer function, allowing users to set a delayed start for the washing cycle.

Water Consumption:

  • TLL 510: Annual water consumption is 9500 litres per year, based on 220 standard washing cycles at 60°C and 40°C at full and partial load.
  • TLL 612: Annual water consumption is 9900 litres per year, based on 220 standard washing cycles at 60°C and 40°C at full and partial load.
  • TLL 712: Annual water consumption is 10800 litres per year, based on 220 standard washing cycles at 60°C and 40°C at full and partial load.

Spin-drying Efficiency:

  • TLL 510: Class C (on a scale from G (least efficient) to A (most efficient)). Spin speed is 1000 rpm.
  • TLL 612: Class B (on a scale from G (least efficient) to A (most efficient)). Spin speed is 1200 rpm.
  • TLL 712: Class B (on a scale from G (least efficient) to A (most efficient)). Spin speed is 1200 rpm.

Noise Levels:

  • TLL 510: Washing noise level 62 dB, spinning noise level 75 dB.
  • TLL 612: Washing noise level 62 dB, spinning noise level 77 dB.
  • TLL 712: Washing noise level 58 dB, spinning noise level 76 dB.

Dimensions (for all models):

  • Height: 850 mm
  • Width: 595 mm

Water Pressure: 0.05-1 MPa

Usage Features

First-time Use: Before the first wash, a complete cycle without clothes should be run. This involves adding a small amount of detergent to compartment II, turning on the water supply, and starting the cycle.

Loading Clothes:

  • Open the door and load articles into the drum.
  • Avoid overloading; refer to the load capacity chart for different fabric types.
  • Close the door securely.

Detergent Dispensing:

  • Pull out the detergent drawer.
  • Add main wash detergent to compartment II.
  • Add softener to the designated compartment (if desired).
  • Add pre-wash detergent to compartment I (if desired).
  • Note: Concentrated softener or additives should be diluted with water to prevent siphon obstruction.

Program Selection:

  • Turn the program knob to select one of the 8 available programs (e.g., Cotton, Synthetic, Wool, Jeans, Quick, Cotton Intensive, Spin, Drum Clean). The corresponding indicator light will illuminate.
  • The standard 60°C and 40°C Cotton Intensive programs are the most efficient in terms of combined energy and water consumption for normally soiled cotton laundry.

Temperature Selection:

  • Press the temperature button repeatedly to select the desired water temperature (e.g., 90°C, 60°C, 40°C, 20°C, Cold water). The corresponding indicator light will illuminate.

Delay Timer:

  • Press the delay button repeatedly to set a delayed start for 3, 6, 9, or 12 hours. The selected delay hours indicator light will illuminate, and the appliance will start after the set time.

Start/Pause:

  • Press the Start/Pause button to begin the program; the indicator light will illuminate.
  • Press again to pause the program; the indicator light will flash. The pause function does not work during the last 1-2 minutes of a washing cycle.

End of Cycle:

  • When the cycle is finished, the Start/Pause indicator light will flash, and the appliance will sound every 30 seconds for 5 minutes.
  • Open the door and remove the laundry.

Changing Program/Temperature During Operation:

  • Press Start/Pause (indicator light flashes).
  • Turn the program knob to select a new program.
  • Press the temperature button repeatedly to select a new temperature.
  • Press Start/Pause to resume washing (indicator light stops flashing).

Washing Tips:

  • Sort Laundry: By fabric care label symbol (cottons, mixed fibres, synthetics, silks, wools, rayon), colour (whites and colours separately; wash new coloured items separately), and size (mixing sizes improves washing performance).
  • Delicate Items: Wash separately.
  • Empty Pockets: Remove keys, coins, and hard decorative objects.
  • Secure Fasteners: Close zippers, fasten buttons/hooks, and tie loose belts/ribbons.
  • Small Items: Place in a washing bag.
  • Heavy Items: Add one or two more clothes to balance the drum for smooth draining.
  • Baby Articles: Wash separately to prevent infection and increase rinsing times for thorough cleaning.
  • Easily Stained Items: Hand wash before machine washing for better results.
  • Fuzzy Clothes: Wash separately to avoid staining other articles with lint.
  • Waterproof Materials: Do not wash in the machine as it can cause water bursting or abnormal vibration.
  • Detergent: Use low-suds laundry detergent appropriate for fabric type, colour, temperature, and soiling level. Follow manufacturer's recommendations; do not add more detergent than needed.

Maintenance Features

General:

  • Always unplug the appliance from the mains socket before cleaning or maintenance.
  • Turn off the water supply after use.

Exterior Cleaning:

  • Clean the appliance surface with a soft cloth dampened with soap liquid.

  • Drain water from the machine and then clean the drain pump regularly.
  • Never remove the pump cover during a wash cycle.
  • Ensure the pump cover is securely tightened when replacing it to prevent leaks.

Repairing a Frozen Washing Machine:

  • Unplug the machine.
  • Pour warm water on the tap to loosen the water supply hose.
  • Remove the inlet hose and soak it in warm water.
  • Pour warm water into the drum and wait for 10 minutes.
  • Reconnect the inlet hose and check if water supply and drain operations are normal.
  • Note: After repair, ensure the ambient temperature is above 0°C before operating the appliance.

Troubleshooting: The manual provides a detailed troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the machine not starting, door not opening, detergent remaining in the drawer, excessive vibration/noise, drainage/spin problems, poor washing results, and display indicators not illuminating. It also lists error messages and their corresponding solutions. If problems persist, contact maintenance personnel.
