4. General safety information
• Ensure that this product is fully assembled before use. Check that all screws are
securely tightened and do this on a regular basis.
• Failure to carry out regular care and maintenance will significantly reduce the life of
your product. We cannot accept any liability for consequential damage resulting from
lack of care and maintenance.
• The clamp awning must be retracted overnight, and when not in use.
• The base plate must only be fixed to a solid and secure surface.
• Do not use any heating devices, naked flames (e.g. candles, garden flame torches,
barbecue etc.) near the clamp awning. Fire hazard!
• Keep the clamp awning clear of other objects.
• When dismantling the clamp awning, the pre-tensioned parts must be completely
released.
• When mounting, check the selected attachment point for hidden supply lines (water,
electricity, gas) before drilling.
• Wear suitable protective equipment (safety goggles, ear defenders, clothing) during
installation.
• Keep small children away from the clamp awning as they may try to pull themselves up
or climb on it.
• Make sure that the awning is securely locked into place. Do not let go of the handle
before the clamp awning is locked into place or fully retracted.
• Do not touch any moving parts. There are compression and shearing elements; the
automatic awning retraction function can lead to trapping-related injuries. Therefore,
ensure that clothing or body parts are not caught and drawn in.
5. Wind resistance classes
Awnings are grouped into wind resistance classes according to DIN EN 13561 and DIN

The awning is rated Wind Class 1 when firmly anchored with the correct mounting
material and must be retracted immediately at wind speeds of 28 km/h and above.
Wind Class 1
The awning may remain extended up to wind force 4. Definition = moderate wind.
Wind moves twigs and thinner branches, raises dust and loose paper.
Speed 20-28 km/h = 5.5-7.9 m/s.
6. Intended use
