7. Maintenance and care instructions
The clamp awning must be checked, i.e. before each use, for signs of damage to the cassette,
brackets, locking mechanism and fabric. If any damage is found, the clamp awning must not
be used until the damage has been repaired.
Only use a damp cloth with a mild detergent for cleaning. Never use aggressive cleaning
agents, brushes with hard bristles or other sharp, pointed objects. These can cause damage
to the surfaces. The awning fabric can, for example, be cleaned with warm soapy water and
then rinsed with clean water. Allow the awning fabric to dry completely after cleaning, to
avoid the risk of staining, mould and damage to the awning fabric and seams. Regular
cleaning and maintenance increase the item’s safety and service life.
The treated, water-repellent awning fabric can withstand short, light showers. In the event of
heavy or prolonged rain, the awning must be retracted to avoid damage. Wet retracted
awnings should be extended again as soon as possible to allow them to dry out completely.
8. Disposal
At the end of your item’s long service life, please dispose of the valuable raw materials
properly so that proper recycling can take place. If you are not sure how best to proceed, the
local waste disposal companies or recycling centres will be happy to help.
