The syntax of the Set instruction contains the following items:

New Optional. This key word is
generally used in the declara-
tions to allow the implicit cre-

Se t, the New key word
creates a new instance of the
class. If the objectvar argu-
ment contains a refe re nce to
an object, this reference is
lost when a new association is
created.
Note
The objectvar must have an object type compatib le with the
object to which it is assigned.
Server Deactivation
The last step of your program is the deactivation of the server
with the Quit method.
To correctly deactivate the server, you must:
a. Close all the documents with the CloseAll method on the
Documents collection.
b. Call the Quit method of the Application object. This method
meanstheprocessisended.
c. Ask Visual Basic to delete the Application from the system
memory by setting the value of the variable to Nothing.
