How to fix E8 Phase error on Telemark Chiller?
    • P
      Patrick ClarkAug 19, 2025
If the LCD displays the message 'E8 Phase error' and the compressor is noisy, it indicates a phase issue. To resolve this, swap any two of the phases, then reset and restart the Telemark Chiller system.

Why does my Telemark Chiller system run and then stop?
    • D
Dr. Kathryn Arnold MDAug 21, 2025
If the Telemark Chiller system runs and then stops, the most likely cause is either the discharge pressure (DP) being too high or the suction pressure being too low. Check the over pressure trip and review the system balance pressure. Also, reset the EMO by twisting it 90 degrees clockwise, as a momentary power outage can also cause this issue.

What to do if Telemark TVP-2000 doesn't start when Start is pressed?

      Justin BryantAug 25, 2025
If the LCD and Start/Standby lights are on, but the Telemark Chiller system doesn't start when you press Start, it might be due to an over pressure trip. Check if the static pressure is between 235 - 250psi. Reset the trip and restart the system. You should hear an audible 'click' when the trip resets.

Why Telemark Chiller does not cool below -150oc?
    • P
      Pam BergerAug 26, 2025
If the Telemark Chiller system does not cool, and the CT fails to get colder than -150°C after 45 minutes in standby, it could be due to several reasons. The water temperature might be too high or too low, so correct the water temperature and flow rate, then reset the system. There could also be a system leak; in this case, shut down the system for about 48 hours, then compare the DP and SP values with those from the installation to locate and repair the leak. If SP is above 45 psi, the start valve may be stuck open; check if the start valve solenoid becomes magnetized when powered on. If not, remove the valve solenoid and gently heat the valve to 100°C with a hot air gun.

Why Telemark TVP-2000 LCD displays gibberish and doesn't start?
    • K
      Keith WhiteAug 28, 2025
If the LCD and Start/Standby lights are illuminated, but the Telemark Chiller system doesn't start or the LCD displays gibberish, it could be due to a momentary power outage. Reset the EMO by twisting it 90 degrees clockwise.

How to fix error message E6 DT on Telemark TVP-2000?
    • S
      Samantha WallerAug 30, 2025
If the Telemark Chiller displays error message E6 DT, it could be due to a gas leak or air contamination during installation. Power down the system using the EMO, reset the temperature protection, and then reset the system via the EMO. If this happens repeatedly, further investigation is needed.

What to do if Telemark Chiller CT gets colder than –150oc but doesn't cool?
    • B
      Brian RodriguezSep 1, 2025
If the Telemark Chiller system does not cool, and the CT does get colder than -150°C after 45 minutes in standby, check if the cool valve hand valve or the common return (suction hand valve) is closed. If so, switch off the system and allow the valves to return to ambient temperature before attempting to open them. Also, check if the cool solenoid valve is functioning; if the solenoid is operational, run the system in standby, remove the valve solenoid, and gently heat the valve to 100°C with a hot air gun, then replace the solenoid and attempt cooling.

How to resolve E3 WT High error on Telemark Chiller?
    • W
      wperezSep 3, 2025
If the Telemark Chiller displays 'E3 WT High', it's likely due to inadequate cooling water flow or the chiller's cooling capacity being too low. Ensure the water temperature does not exceed the pre-set value (35°C), especially during initial cool down or when the system is under full load.

Why does Telemark TVP-2000 Chiller system defrost slowly?
    • C
      caserebeccaSep 5, 2025
If the Telemark Chiller system defrosts slowly, it might be because the cryo-coil or refrigeration lines have been damaged or restricted. Also, check that the defrost and suction line hand valves are fully open. If the cryo-coil has too big a thermal mass, consider redesigning it using thinner gauge material.

What causes E7 Dp Trip error on Telemark Chiller?
    • M
      marie42Sep 7, 2025
If the Telemark Chiller displays 'E7 Dp Trip', it means the system's mechanical over protection has been triggered. During initial cool down, the balance pressure might have been too high, the cooling water flow too low or reversed, or there was a problem with the system's off-load valve. Reset the system and restart. If the fault persists, allow the system to warm up until CT is at least +10°C and check the system balance pressure.
