(d) With U544055S Sealant, do a fay surfac e seal between the 0823337-2 Gromm et s and
the s tructure. (Refer to the 208 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 20, Fuel, Weather, and
High-Tem perat ure Se aling - Maintenanc e P rac tices.)
(e) With 12 MS 20470AD3-3A Riv ets, attach the s ix 0823337-2 Grommets to the structure.
B. (Refer to Figure 5, View A-A.) On the bottom of t he airplane, install doublers for the support of the
TKS tank as follows:
(1) From t he right side of t he airpla ne, remov e the XP DR1 transponder an ten na. (Refer to the
Model 208 M aintenance Ma nual, Chapter 34.)
(2) (For airplanes with a XPDR2 transponder antenna) Remove the XPDR2 transponder antenna
from the left side o f th e airplane. (Refer to the M odel 208 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 34.)
(3) Remove and keep t he doubler f or the XP DR1 antenna and the doubler for the XPDR2 antenna
(if installed).
(4) (Refer t o Figure 5, View A-A.) Use s ix M S 20470AD4-3A5 Rivets as plugs and install th em in
the holes (through the s kin only) that you made when y ou removed the rivets that att ac hed the
doubler for the X PDR1 transponder antenna.
(5) Use s ix M S20470AD4 -3A5 Rivets as plugs and insta ll them (through t he s k in only) in the
holes that you m ade w hen you removed the r ivets that attached the doubler for the XPDR2
transponder antenna (if inst alled).
(6) Install t he 2613495 -1 TK S Left External Doubler and the 2613495-2 TKS Right External
Doubler on the bottom of the airplane as follows:
(a) Carefully rem ov e the t wo 3.00-inc h orange ducts below the floorboards that conn ec t t o
the heat er control valve wy e and the left and right side forward plenum s. (Refer to the
Model 208 Maint enance Manual, C hapter 2 1, Heating and Def rosting Air Distribution -
Maintenance Practices.)
(b) Remove the power converter assembly under the copilot's seat floorboard. R emove
mounting brackets as necessary. (Refer to the Model 208 Maintenance Manual, Chapter
24, 12-Vo lt Direc t Current P ower Outlet Sy s te m - Main tena nc e Practices.)
(c) Remove t he soun d dampening material between FS 128.00 and FS158.00 and between
RBL8.00 and RB L19.00. (Re fer to the Model 208 Maintenance Manual, C hapter 25,
Soundproofing - Maintenanc e P rac tices.)
(d) (Refer to Figure 5, View A-A, Detail B, and Detail G.) From the structure, remove the 89
rivets shown on t he right si de and the 93 rivets s hown on the left side.
(e) Put the 2613495-1 TKS Left Ext ernal Doubler and the 2613495-2 TKS Right External
Doubler in position on the st ruc ture.
(f) Between FS 128.00 and FS143.00, make marks to show the outline of the doublers to the
skin and rem ov e the ve existing nutplates on t he left that are under the doubler and the
five existing nutplates on the right that are under th e doubler.
(g) Match dril l one 0.81-in ch diameter hole in the skin to t he 2613495-2 TKS Right External
Doubler for the XPDR1 trans ponder antenna.
(h) Match drill one 0.81-in ch diameter ho le in the skin to the 2613 495-1 TK S Left External
Doubler for t he XPDR2 t rans ponder antenna, if installed.
(i) Match drill two 0.812-inch diamet er holes in t he 2613495-1 T K S Lef t E xternal Doubler.
(j) Match drill 89 Number 30 (0.128-inch diameter) holes in the 2613495-2 TKS Right
External Doubler.
(k) Match drill 93 Number 30 (0.128-inch diamet er) hol es in th e 2613495-1 TK S Lef t External
Doubler.
