(41) (Refer t o Figure 13. ) Continue the uid purge until the panel is correctly purged in ac c ordance
with Figure 13 and Table 4.
NOTE: To get an even flow over the panel it may be nec es s ary to lightly run a dry cloth or
paper towel over the l eading e dge and/or the dry spots of the panel during purging.
(42) Stop t he fluid supply.
(43) Wait until the fluid pressure is releas ed.
(44) Disconnect t he purge tank lines.
(45) Connect the purge tan k line to the section of the wi ng strut TKS panel t hat supplies uid by
the line t hat was attache d to port 7.
NOTE: The s trut panel has two memb ranes (uppe r and lower). Each membrane has a fluid
supply tube. You can install a tee fitting a nd c onnect the tes t cart supply tube to
each membrane.
(46) Apply press ure of 10 psi, do a c hec k for leaks in the line, and repair all leaks.
(47) Apply pressure of 20 psi to slowly start the flu id ow through the panel.
(48) Wait until the fluid starts t o come out all t he holes at the same rate along the full length of the
panel and increase the press ure to 7 5 ps i.
(49) (Refer t o Figure 13. ) Continue the uid purge until the panel is correctly purged in ac c ordance
with Figure 13 and Table 4.
NOTE: To get an even flow over the panel it may be nec es s ary to lightly run a dry cloth or
paper towel over the l eading e dge and/or the dry spots of the panel during purging.
(50) Stop t he fluid supply.
(51) Wait until the fluid pressure is releas ed.
(52) Disconnect t he purge tank lines.
(53) Install new sea ling rings (one S2800-942 Sealing R ing at port 6 and one S 2800-943 Sealing
Ring at po rt 7) and connect the wing strut TKS supply lines to ports 6 and 7 on the wing
proportioning unit.
(54) Disconnect the two right inboa rd wing porous panel supply lines from ports 1 and 5 of the
wing proport ioning unit.
NOTE: The inboa rd and outboa rd wing panels have two supply tubes. It is neces s ary to
disconne ct the second tube and put a cap or plug in the tube end to keep s ufficient
pressure i n t he panel .
NOTE: If your airplane is equipped with the weather radar system, the airplane has only one
access panel to get to the right wing proportioning unit. You c an disconne ct the panel
feed lines at the body of the proportioning valve and then safety them with s afety wire
when you con nec t t hem agai n, or you ca n remove the radar to get ac c es s .
(55) Connect the test cart s upply tube to the inboard panel as near to the panel as you c an.
(56) Apply press ure of 10 psi, do a c hec k for leaks in the line, and repair all leaks.
(57) Apply pressure of 20 psi to slowly start the flu id ow through the panel.
(58) Wait until the fluid starts t o come out all t he holes at the same rate along the full length of the
panel and increase the press ure to 6 5 ps i.
(59) (Refer t o Figure 13. ) Continue the uid purge until the panel is correctly purged in ac c ordance
with Figure 13 and Table 4.
