(16) Install new sealing rings (two S2800-942 Sealing Rings) and connect the two left inboard wing
panel supply lines to ports 1 and 5 on t he wing proportioni ng unit.
(17) Disconnect the center TK S panel supply l ine from port 2 on the wing proportion ing unit.
(18) Connect the purge tank line t o the left mid wing TKS panel as near to the panel as y ou can.
(19) Apply pres s ure of 10 psi, do a check for leaks in the line, and repa ir all leaks.
(20) Apply pressu re of 20 psi to slowl y st art t he fluid flow through the left mid wing panel.
(21) Wa it until the fluid s tarts to come o ut all the holes at the same rate along the f ull length of the
left mi d w ing panel a nd increas e the pressure to 60 psi.
(22) (Refer to Figure 13.) Continue the fl uid purge unt il the panel is correc t ly p urged in accordance
with Figure 13 and Table 4.
NOTE: To get an even flow over the panel it may be necessary to lightly run a dry cloth or
paper towel over the leading edge a nd/or the dry spots of the panel during purging.
(23) Stop the fl uid supp ly.
(24) Wait until t he fl uid pressure is released .
(25) Slowly disconnect the test cart fluid supply tube from the left m id wing panel.
(26) Install a new S2800-942 Sealing R ing and connect the left mid wing pan el supply line to por t
2 on the wing proport ioni ng unit.
(27) Disconnect the left out board w ing TKS panel supply lines f rom port s 3 and 4 on the wi ng
proportioning unit.
(28) Connect the purge tank line to t he outboard w ing TKS pane l as near to the panel as y ou can.
(29) Apply pres s ure of 10 psi, do a check for leaks in the line, and repa ir all leaks.
(30) Apply press ure of 20 ps i t o slow ly start the fl uid flow through the panel.
(31) Wa it until the fluid s tarts to come o ut all the holes at the same rate along the f ull length of the
panel and increase the pressure to 65 psi.
(32) (Refer to Figure 13.) Continue the fl uid purge unt il the panel is correc t ly p urged in accordance
with Figure 13 and Table 4.
NOTE: To get an even flow over the panel it may be necessary to lightly run a dry cloth or
paper towel over the leading edge a nd/or the dry spots of the panel during purging.
(33) Stop the fl uid supp ly.
(34) Wait until t he fl uid pressure is released .
(35) Slowly disconnect the test cart fluid s upply tube fro m the left outboard wing TKS panel.
(36) Disconnect the tw o w ing strut TKS panel supply lines from ports 6 a nd 7 on the wing
proportioning unit.
(37) Connect the purge tank line to the sec ti on of the wing strut T KS panel that supplies fluid by
the line tha t was attached to port 6.
NOTE: The strut pane l has two mem branes (upper and lower). Each membrane has a fl uid
supply tube. You can install a tee fit ting and connect the test cart supply tube to
each membrane .
(38) Apply pres s ure of 10 psi, do a check for leaks in the line, and repa ir all leaks.
(39) Apply press ure of 20 ps i t o slow ly start the fl uid flow through the panel.
(40) Wa it until the fluid s tarts to come o ut all the holes at the same rate along the f ull length of the
panel and increase the pressure to 70 psi.
