(86) Apply pressure of 20 psi to slowly start the flu id fl ow through the panel.
(87) Wait until the fluid starts t o come out all t he holes at the same rate along the full length of the
panel and increase the press ure to 7 0 ps i.
(88) (Refer t o Figure 13. ) Continue the fl uid purge until the panel is correctly purged in ac c ordance
with Figure 13 and Table 4.
NOTE: To get an even flow over the panel it may be nec es s ary to lightly run a dry cloth or
paper towel over the l eading e dge and/or the dry spots of the panel during purging.
(89) Stop t he fluid supply.
(90) Wait until the fluid pressure is releas ed.
(91) Disconnect t he purge tank lines.
(92) Connect the purge tan k line to the section of the wi ng strut TKS panel t hat supplies fl uid by
the line t hat was attache d to port 7.
NOTE: The s trut panel has two memb ranes (uppe r and lower). Each membrane has a fluid
supply tube. You can install a tee fitting a nd c onnect the tes t cart supply tube to
each membrane.
(93) Apply press ure of 10 psi, do a c hec k for leaks in the line, and repair all leaks.
(94) Apply pressure of 20 psi to slowly start the flu id fl ow through the panel.
(95) Wait until the fluid starts t o come out all t he holes at the same rate along the full length of the
panel and increase the press ure to 7 5 ps i.
(96) (Refer t o Figure 13. ) Continue the fl uid purge until the panel is correctly purged in ac c ordance
with Figure 13 and Table 4.
NOTE: To get an even flow over the panel it may be nec es s ary to lightly run a dry cloth or
paper towel over the l eading e dge and/or the dry spots of the panel during purging.
(97) Stop t he fluid supply.
(98) Wait until the fluid pressure is releas ed.
(99) Disconnect t he purge tank lines.
(100)Install new sealing rings (one S2800-942 Sealing Ring a t port 6 and one S2800-943 Sealing
Ring at po rt 7) and connect the wing strut TKS supply lines to ports 6 and 7 on the wing
proportioning unit.
(101)Disconne ct the left horizontal st abil izer TKS panel s upply l ine from the tailcone proportioning
unit.
NOTE: The empennage proportioning unit is part of the ta il bracket assembly on the floor of
the t ailcone forward of the tailcone ac cess panel.
(102)Connect the purge tank l ines to the left hor izontal sta b ilizer T KS panel as near to the panel as
you can.
(103)Apply pres s ure of 10 psi, do a chec k for leaks in t he line, and repair all leaks.
(104)Apply pressure of 20 psi to slowly start the flu id fl ow through the panel.
(105)Wait until the fluid starts to come out all the holes at the same rate along t he full length of the
panel and increase the press ure to 6 5 ps i.
(106)(Refer to Figure 13. ) Continue the fl uid purge until the panel is correctly purged in acc ordance
with Figure 13 and Table 4.
