(107)Stop the flui d supply.
(108)Wa it until the fl uid pressure is released.
(109)Disconnect the purge tank lines.
(110)Install a new S2800-942 Seal ing Ring and conn ect the left horizontal stabilizer TKS supply line
to the tailcone proportionin g unit.
(111) Disc onnec t t he right horizontal stabil izer TKS p anel s upply line from the tailcone proport ioning
unit.
(112)Connect the purge tank lin es to the right horizontal stabilizer TKS panel as near to the pa nel a s
you can.
(113)Apply press ure of 10 psi, do a check for leaks in t he line, and repa ir all leaks.
(114)Apply press ure of 20 psi to slowly start the fluid flow t hrough the pane l.
(115)Wait until the flu id starts to come o ut all the holes at t he same rate along the f ull length of the
panel and increase the pressure to 65 psi.
(116)(Refer to Figu re 13.) Continue the flui d purge until the panel is correc t ly p urged in accordance
with Figure 13 and Table 4.
NOTE: To get an even flow over the panel it may be necessary to lightly run a dry cloth or
paper towel over the leading edge a nd/or the dry spots of the panel during purging.
(117)Stop th e fluid s upply.
(118)Wait until the fl uid pressure is released.
(119)Disconnect th e purge tank lines.
(120)Install a new S2800-942 Se aling Ring and c onnect the right horizontal stabilizer TKS s upply
line to the tailc one proportioning unit.
(121)Disconnect the vertical stabilizer TK S panel supply line from the tailcon e proportioning unit.
(122)Connect the vertical stabilizer TKS panel supply line directly to the purge cart.
(123)Apply pres s ure of 10 psi, do a check for leaks in t he line, and repa ir all leaks.
(124)Apply press ure of 20 ps i to slowly start the fluid flow through the panel.
(125)Wa it until the flu id starts to come o ut all the holes at t he same rate along the f ull length of the
panel and increase the pressure to 75 psi.
(126)(Refer to Figure 13.) Continue the fl uid purge until t he panel is correct ly purged in accordance
with Figure 13 and Table 4.
NOTE: To get an even flow over the panel it may be necessary to lightly run a dry cloth or
paper towel over the leading edge a nd/or the dry spots of the panel during purging.

(129)Disconnect the purge tank lines.
(130)Install a new S2800-942 Sealing Ring and c onnect the vertical sta bilize r TK S supply line
to the tailcone proportionin g unit.
