- Accessory Recommendation: 2*6AWG Copper Cable for battery-to-battery connection, and two copper bars for total input & output connection.
- Safety: Wear insulating gloves during connection.
- Voltage Balancing: Fully charge batteries separately (voltage at rest ≥13.4V) and leave them connected in parallel for 12-24 hours before connecting in series or parallel to balance voltages.
- Wiring Diagrams: Detailed diagrams are provided for 2S2P (24V 400Ah), 2P4S (48V 400Ah), and 4P2S (24V 800Ah) configurations, specifying energy, continuous charge/discharge current, and continuous load power for each.
Charging Methods:
- LiFePO4 Charging Mode: The manual recommends selecting "LiFePO4" mode on chargers due to its distinct charging curve compared to lead-acid batteries.
- Solar Panel & Controller:
- Recommended Solar Power: ≥900W for a full charge in one day (4.5 effective sunshine hours).
- Controller Charging Current: 40A (0.2C) for full charge in ~5 hours, 100A (0.5C) for ~2 hours to 97% capacity.
- Tips: Disconnect the charger from the battery after fully charging.
- Battery Charger: Use a 14.6V lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery charger.
- Alternator/Generator: If using an alternator/generator, ensure it supports DC output and refer to "Battery Charger" for suitable charger recommendations.
Battery Capacity Estimation (SOC):
- The voltage of LiFePO4 batteries during charging/discharging is not the real voltage. Disconnect all connections and let the battery rest for over 30 minutes to test the real voltage.
- A table provides approximate State of Charge (SOC) percentages corresponding to specific battery voltages (e.g., 100% at 13.5V, 0% at 9.5V).
Inverter Settings:
- Recommended Method: Select "12V (14.6V) LI (LiFePO4) Mode" on the inverter.
- User Mode (if recommended mode unavailable): Set parameters manually:
- Charge Voltage: 14.6V
- Over Voltage Disconnect: 15V
- Over Voltage Reconnect: 14.2V
- Under Voltage Warning: 11.6V
- Under Voltage Recover: 12V
- Low Voltage Disconnect: 10.8V
- Low Voltage Reconnect: 12.4V

Self-heating Module (Optional):
- Automatically activates when the ambient temperature is below the set temperature and the battery is charging or discharging.
- Disconnects when the ambient temperature is higher than the set temperature or when the battery is disconnected.
Active Equilibrium Module (Optional):
- Balance Current: 0.5~1A
- Balance Mode: Active equilibrium.
- Balance on Condition: Minimum voltage of single unit ≥ 3.2V (factory default) and equalizing opening differential pressure: ≥20mV (factory default).

Maintenance Features
Troubleshooting (Battery Stops Working):
- If the battery "Can't work," "Can't be charged," or has "Voltage < 9V," the BMS might have shut it off for protection.
- General Steps:
- Cut off all connections from the battery.
- Leave the battery aside for 30 minutes. It should automatically recover to normal voltage (>10V).
- If recovery fails, try one of two methods:
- Use a charger with a 0V charging function to fully charge the battery.
- Connect an 18V-36V solar panel for 3-10 seconds in sunny daytime to activate and fully charge.
Long-term Storage:
- Temperature: Ideal storage temperature is 10°C to 35°C (50°F to 95°F). Store in a fireproof container, away from children.
- Capacity: Store at a 50% charge level and recharge every three months if not used for a long time.
Rebalancing (for multiple batteries in a system):
- It is recommended to rebalance the battery voltage every six months by following Step 2 of the "HOW TO CONNECT BATTERIES" section (Page 13) to address potential voltage differences.
Safety Warnings:
- ATTENTION: Risk of Fire, Explosion or Burns. Do NOT Short circuit. Do NOT Reverse connections. Do NOT Disassemble. Do NOT Throw into fire or incinerate. Do NOT Heat above 70 °C/158°F.
- WARNING:
- Battery Disposal: Dispose of waste batteries with insulating paper to prevent fire and explosion.
- Prohibition of Disassembly: Never disassemble the cells. Disassembling may generate an internal short circuit, causing gassing, firing, or other problems.
- Prohibition of Dumping of Cells into Water: Electrolyte is harmful. Do not soak the battery in water, seawater, non-alcoholic drinks, fruit juice, coffee or other drinks.
- Prohibition of Disassembly (Cells): If any abnormal features are found (leakage, swelling, deformation), do not use the battery. Cells with a smell of electrolyte or leakage should be placed away from fire to avoid fire or explosion.
- Prohibition of Using in Below Places: Do not use the battery in places with strong static electricity or a strong magnetic field. Ensure battery safety protection device and hidden danger.
