PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW
INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN EQUIPMENT DAMAGE OR FAILURE, LOSSES, INJURY OR DEATH.
WARNING
A leak-test must be performed before installing the bulb and plugging in the UltraUV Pro. Follow all
installation instructions to avoid damage or failure.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock. Connect only to a circuit protected by a ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI).
Contact a qualied electrician if you cannot verify that the circuit is protected by a GFCI. Never remove
the ground pin from the plug.
WARNING
If the power cord has been damaged, DO NOT operate the UltraUV Pro. The transformer
should be replaced.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use an extension cord to connect the unit to the power
supply; provide a properly located outlet.
WARNING
Do not operate the UV bulb when it is removed from the appliance enclosure.
Avoid contact with the UV light. Light emitted can be harmful to the
eyes and skin.
Do not operate if there are any signs of damage to the UltraUV Pro. Contact the
manufacturer for appropriate replacement parts.
Do not run the unit dry. Ensure that the unit is full of water before
plugging in the UltraUV Pro.
Provide a drip loop” for the power cord. This is a loop in the cord below the level
of the receptacle or plug that prevents water from traveling along the cord in the
direction of the receptacle.
Always disconnect the UltraUV Pro from the main power source before carrying out maintenance.
Always isolate the unit from the main power supply and turn o the water supply before carrying
out any maintenance.
Always disconnect all pond appliances from the main power supply before putting your hands
into the water.
Power must be supplied through an appropriately sized breaker (15A max) with a residual
operating current not exceeding 30mA.
DO NOT submerge the UltraUV Pro, attempt to use a receptacle in a wet
environment or attempt to use a wet power cord.
If the quartz sleeve is cracked, replace it immediately.
The unit must be fully frost protected or taken inside during winter months.
Close supervision is necessary when the unit is used near children.
