The Theragun Prime is a percussive therapy device designed for muscle treatment and recovery. It is a smart device enabled with Bluetooth connectivity, allowing it to pair seamlessly with the Therabody app for a personalized experience.

Function Description

The primary function of the Theragun Prime is to deliver percussive massage to various muscle groups, helping to alleviate muscle soreness, improve circulation, and aid in recovery. It is designed for both general wellness and targeted relief. The device operates by applying rapid, repetitive strokes to the body, which can be adjusted in speed and pressure to suit individual needs.

Usage Features

The Theragun Prime is designed for ease of use with a straightforward interface. To begin, users firmly press and hold the center button on the button pad to turn the device on. Once active, the device can be floated across areas of the body that require treatment. The speed of the percussive therapy can be adjusted using the up (^) and down (v) buttons on the button pad, allowing users to toggle between 5 preset speeds. Light to moderate pressure should be applied as needed during use. To turn off the device, users again firmly press and hold the center button on the button pad.

A key feature of the Theragun Prime is its compatibility with the Therabody app. Upon downloading the app, users are guided through a stress-free setup and pairing process. Once paired, the app enhances the device's functionality by allowing remote speed adjustment, activation of guided treatment presets, and real-time recommendations based on user feedback and recent activity. This integration aims to provide a fully personalized app experience, making the Theragun Prime an intuitive wellness partner.

The device comes with four interchangeable attachments, each designed for specific muscle groups and treatment needs:

• Dampener: Ideal for use on tender areas or near bones, providing a softer impact.
• Thumb: Designed for lower back and trigger point therapy, offering a more focused treatment.
• Standard Ball: Suitable for overall, general use across larger muscle groups.
• Cone: Used for pinpoint muscle treatment, targeting very specific areas.

Connecting attachments is simple: align the attachment with the tip of the rotating arm and push to connect. To remove an attachment, grip it, placing one finger on each side of the plastic connector, and pull it off.

The Theragun Prime features a Theragun Triangle multi-grip design, which allows for various hand positions to comfortably reach different parts of the body during self-treatment. LED indicators are present on the device: an LED battery indicator shows the remaining power, and an LED speed indicator displays the current treatment speed.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance of the Theragun Prime ensures its longevity and hygienic use.

Charging:

To charge the device, first turn it off. Then, plug the power adapter into the charging port. The LED battery indicator, located below the 5 LED speed indicator bars, will begin flashing to indicate that charging is in progress. Charging is complete when all 3 LED lights of the LED battery indicator are steadily lit. It is recommended to charge the device indoors in a well-ventilated, dry location and to unplug the charger once the device is fully charged to avoid overcharging, which can reduce battery life over time.

Cleaning Instructions:

For the most hygienic experience, the Theragun Prime should be sanitized after each use. The cleaning process involves two steps:

1. Wiping the device with a disinfectant wipe to remove any residue.
2. Once the device is residue-free, using a new wipe to disinfect the entire surface area by wiping all sides in a downward motion.

Storage:

The Theragun Prime and its charger should be stored in a cool, dry place. It is important to avoid storing the device in environments where temperatures may exceed 40°C/104°F, such as in direct sunlight, inside a vehicle, or in a metal building during warm weather, as this can negatively impact the device's battery and overall performance. For long-term storage, the device should be fully charged.

Safety Precautions:

The manual emphasizes several safety precautions to ensure safe operation and maintenance. Users are advised not to place fingers or objects near the metal piston above the attachment while the device is in use or immediately after use, as it can become extremely hot. Only Theragun-provided attachments should be used, and the device should not be used on the head, near genitals, above the waist during pregnancy, or near the Adam's Apple or C4. The device should not get wet, and the motor vents should not be blocked. Disassembly of the device is not recommended, as it can void the warranty and pose risks of electric shock or fire. In case of any malfunction or damage, users should contact Theragun for repair or service rather than attempting to repair it themselves. The device also includes an automatic reset thermal limiter to prevent overheating.
