General Warnings
Caution: above 50 °C, water could cause immediate burns. Check the water
temperature before taking a bath or shower.
HYDRAULIC CONNECTION
y A new safety device (or any other new pressure relief valve), with a pressure
of either 0.7 or 0.9 MPa (7 or 9 bar), depending on the nominal pressure,
and measuring 3/4’’ in diameter, must be tted on the water heater inlet, in
accordance with the local standards in force (see the diagram on page B).
y No hydraulic accessories must be installed between the safety device and
the cold water inlet of the appliance. A pressure reducer (not supplied) is
required if the supply pressure is greater than 0.5 MPa (5 bar) and will be
installed on the main supply pipe.
y Connect the safety device to a discharge pipe, kept in the open air, in
a frost-free environment, continuously sloping downwards to drain o󰀨 the
heat-expanded water or to allow for drainage of the water heater.
y The pressure relief valve drainage device must be activated on a regular
basis in order to remove limescale deposits and to check that it is not
blocked.
y To drain the appliance, turn o󰀨 the power and cold water supply, open the
hot water taps then operate the drainage valve of the safety device.
y The pipes used must be able to withstand 1 MPa (10 bar) and 100 °C.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
y Be sure to turn o󰀨 the power before removing the cover, to prevent any risk
of injury or electric shock.
y Upstream of the appliance, the electrical installation must have an all-pole
cut-out device (circuit breaker, fuse) compliant with the local installation
rules in force (30 mA residual current device).
y If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced with a cable or a special pack
available from the manufacturer or the After-Sales service.
y Earthing is mandatory. A special terminal marked is provided for this
purpose.
y Products including a battery: There is a risk of explosion if the battery is
replaced with an incorrect battery. Dispose of used batteries in accordance
with local regulations.
y The user manual for this appliance can be obtained from the After-Sales
service.
