- Assembly Process: The desk requires assembly. Instructions emphasize not fully tightening bolts until all parts are assembled to facilitate the process, then going back to fully tighten them.
- Step 1: Fit the back stretcher (F) between the back legs (D and E) and attach them to the back apron of the desk top (A) using (H1) bolts, (H2) lock washers, and (H3) flat washers. The mortise points towards the front of the unit, and slant holes face the floor when upright.
- Step 2: Attach the front legs (B and C) to the desk top (A) loosely and insert the side stretchers (G) between the legs properly, using (H1) bolts, (H2) lock washers, and (H3) flat washers. Slant holes face the floor when upright.
- Step 3: Fully tighten all bolts. Fasten the bottom stretchers (F and G) in place using (H4) screws.
- Step 4: Stand the unit upright. The handle for the utility drawer comes pre-assembled to the inside. Unscrew the small bolt, remove the handle, and reinstall it to the front of the utility drawer with the small bolt.
- Step 5 (Tipping Restraint): Position the unit against a wall. Follow instructions in the plastic bag for the tipping restraint hardware (H6) to attach it between the unit and the wall. This is a mandatory safety measure. Tools required for this step include a Phillips screwdriver, mallet, power drill, and 1/8" drill bit.
