Operating Instructions
The Main Unit Housing has an on/off switch that powers the heater and motor.
1. Make sure the popcorn machine is unplugged before you do the following.
• Clean the surfaces of the popping kettle and the internal surfaces of the main unit.
• Assemble the popping kettle as shown in Assembly Instructions. Then connect the electrical cord
between the popping kettle and the main unit.
2. You can now plug in the power cord from the popcorn machine.
3. Although the ratio of popcorn kernels to oil is a personal preference, it is suggested you begin with a
ratio indicated in the Oil/Popcorn Chart below.
4. Measure corresponding amount of popcorn kernels as indicated in the Oil/Popcorn Chart below.
(Note: Popcorn kernels with seasoning or salt may cause hot oil to splatter.)
CAUTION: Never pop kernels without oil
5. Lift the kettle lid all the way to the top to adhere to the magnet and carefully pour kernels into the
popping kettle. CAUTION: Lid may be HOT! Lower the kettle lid.
6. Carefully close the door on the main unit and Switch ON the main power at the side.
7. Popcorn starts popping out through the lid of the popping kettle.
8. Switch OFF when popping is complete (when there are no more popping sound from the kettle).
9. It is suggested to lift the kettle lid before pulling the switch to release popcorn. This will avoid
incidence of which the lid spins with force and damage the unit.
CAUTION: Kettle will be HOT!
10. Repeat steps 3 to 10 to continue making popcorn.
11. Due to variances in the popcorn type, freshness and moisture content, some popped or unpopped
kernels may remain in the kettle after the popping has stopped. To prevent scorching, unplug the unit
without waiting for this corn to clear the kettle.
12. Keep power OFF if you are not continuing to use the unit.
13. Remove plug from power supply if the popcorn machine is not being used for an extended period
of time.
CAUTION: AS KERNELS MAY CONTINUE TO POP EVEN AFTER UNIT IS UNPLUGGED, MAKE SURE
ALL POPPING HAS STOPPED BEFORE EMPTYING THE KETTLE.
CAUTION: USE OVEN MITTS WHEN HANDLING HOT SURFACES OF THE THEATER POPCORN
MAKER. ALLOW KETTLE AND LID TO COOL AFTER POPPING BEFORE CLEANING
For Additional Batches
1. For additional batches, unplug unit. Make sure the kettle is empty. Carefully remove excess popcorn
or remaining unpopped kernels.
2. Allow few minutes for the Popcorn Popper to cool before continuing to pop additional batches
of popcorn.
3. Then repeat the procedure described previously.
Cautions
• Do not use microwave popcorn in this unit.
• Always use fresh hot air popcorn kernels; stale or dried-out kernels pop poorly and may cause
scorching or smoking.
• It is not necessary to preheat this appliance before using; never plug in or operate unit when empty.
• Never leave unit unattended while using.
• Always keep door closed until all popping is complete. Unplug unit before emptying the kettle.
• Use oven mitts or potholders when handling hot surfaces.
