22. Emergency lowering button
The emergency lowering button is located
underneath the same armrest that holds the
joystick user interface.
Use the emergency lowering button to let the
stairlift descend if a malfunction occurs and the
stairlift stops halfway along the rail.
- Push and hold the emergency lowering
button to activate the descent system.
- The stairlift wil start moving
downwards at a reduced speed.
- Keep the emergency lowering button
pressed until the stairlift has arrived at
the nearest halt point to safely
step-off.
- Release the emergency lowering
button to stop the stairlift.
CAUTION
Only use the emergency lowering
button in case of an emergency.
Immediately contact your supplier/
service provider to have your stairlift
checked and repaired.
NOTE
In case the emergency lowering button
doesn’t function, any other call device
carried by the user or our optional
Communication Module can be used to
call for help.
Do not get off the stairlift in between
halt points.
